Ethiopia grieves 'hero' dam engineer Simegnew Bekele

Andromeda about to devoured by Cetus

Ethiopian police have fired tear gas to keep back thousands of people who gathered to pay their final respects to the chief engineer of a controversial dam project. Simegnew Bekele was found shot dead in the capital Addis Ababa on Thursday. It is not clear if his death was connected to the $4bn (£3bn) Grand Renaissance Dam project. Mr Simegnew's death prompted an outpouring of grief. Hundreds packed a cathedral, with thousands more outside. The police say they are still investigating the shooting. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-44999355

Simegnew Bekele Aynalem ( 13 September 1964 – 26 July 2018) was an Ethiopian engineer who served as chief project manager of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam project as well as three other similar dam projects in Ethiopia. He was considered the "public face" of the dam project. Based on his date of birth, his noon horoscope is shown here.  As always the most important progressions are those of the Sun. For the current period his progressed Sun [13sc50] is opposite radix Hades [13ta50]. In the next step we look at all the stars, planets and asteroids that aspect radix Hades.

Hades 13ta50, declination: 15d06m is conjunct the stars  Menkar: 13ta49, Almach: 13ta43 and parallel in declination to the stars Al Pherg: 15d09; Algenib: 14d59m and Markab: 15d00m

Alpha (α) Cetus, Menkar, is a bright orange star in the open jaw of the Whale, or Sea Monster which is depicted  about to swallow the  chained Princess Andromeda.  Symbolically this represents the monsters of our collective human consciousness that  prevent any efforts by mankind to evolve and free itself from the chains of darkness  (poverty?).  On the other hand, Algenib and Markab are stars of the winged horse Pegasus which metaphorically speaking uplifts and frees us enough to be able to fly over the collective human dilemma / consciousness.

Al Pherg of Pisces and Acamar of Eridanus mark the cusp of sidereal Pisces-Aries. Acamar enters the last couple degrees of sidereal Pisces. Acamar, Theta 1,2 of ERIDANUS, is a primary stop or stoppage along the long and winding river of Life. Acamar is the dam, and indicates that emergence from the belly of Cetus (the technobureaucratic monster of collective human consciousness) requires a breakthrough that will lead us from the foul digestive juices of Cetus and into a greater freedom of being. https://www.lunarplanner.com/LunarMonths2007/lunarmonth.07.04.17.html

The stars in aspect to Simegnew Bekele’s natal Hades symbolically describe the project of which he was the Chief Engineer. The Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam, which is set to be Africa's biggest hydropower plant, is one of a number of large-scale infrastructure projects that hopes to put Ethiopia on course to become a middle-income nation by 2025. Straddling The Nile, the dam has been called the most ambitious infrastructure projects ever achieved on the continent.

Among the asteroids that aspect the TNP Hades [13ta50] we have Toro[13le] and Orpheus [16le]. Martha Wescott [2] interprets Toro-Orpheus as “death through brutality”.

Continuing with the symbolism, Simegnew Bekele’s efforts to uplift his people (Pegasus) could not defeat the forces of darkness (Cetus). His brutal assassination (Toro-Orpheus) will serve as a harsh reminder to  all those who underestimate the power of those who would rather keep mankind subjugated.
