A
raging wildfire in northern California has killed two firefighters and forced
tens of thousands of people to flee their homes. The fires in Shasta county are
being sucked up by strong winds to form "fire tornados" that are
uprooting trees and overturning cars, fire officials say. The blazes, known as
the Carr fire, have destroyed at least 500 structures and are threatening
thousands of homes. July 28 https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-44990976
Eclipses can be very powerful when they appear on the
horizon or meridian. The total lunar
eclipse at Shasta is placed exactly on
the meridian forming a T-square with Mars and Uranus. Mars which is currently
retrograde reaches the opposition to the Sun on July 27 at which point it is
the closest to Earth. Richard Nolle describes this phenomena thus:
Mars Max is a new kind of astrology. Like
SuperMoon, it’s a concept with deep roots in ancient astrology; but it has been
lost down through the ages, as astrology turned away from the night sky and
into books and tradition. I call it Mars Max because it’s a cycle anchored by
the Red Planet’s close approach to our home planet. Astronomers call this close
approach to Earth perigee, and it is the key to both Mars Max and SuperMoon.
Any planet in perigee appears abnormally big and bright in the sky – the Red
Planet during a Mars Max cycle – and particularly around the time of its peak,
the Sun-Mars opposition (July 27) that defines the Mars perigee – and you’ll
see Mars burning bigger and brighter than usual - roughly eight times bigger
and brighter than it does when farthest from Earth. An increase in accidents
also accompanies this cycle; along with a surfeit of fires and explosions,
whether natural or human caused. http://www.astropro.com/forecast/predict/2018-all.html
But let us go a little further and look at how Uranus [2ta] on the
descendant is also adding to the theme of fires (and whirlwinds). Among others, Uranus is conjunct stars of Cepheus and Sharatan, beta Aries. Diana Rosenberg writes:
Cepheus’ fiery influence is represented by the 1930 fire that raced through the
severely crowded Columbus, OH State Penitentiary killing 320 prisoners; thieves
siphoning oil from a Nigerian pipeline caused a violent explosion and inferno
in 1998 killing 800 and destroying entire villages; in 1934 passenger liner
Morro Castle caught fire and burned to a
shell killing 134 passengers; the boiler of old, severely overloaded paddle-wheeler Sultana exploded
and burned on the Mississippi – 1238, most of them Union soldiers
returning from the Civil War were killed
outright or drowned.
Al – Sharatain was
said to produce “whirlwinds” and Diana
Rosenberg gives several examples of
tornadoes and hurricanes connected with these stars.
