On why there is so much anger at Trump

The American backlash against President Trump over his summit with Russian leader Vladimir Putin has been as ferocious as it was predictable. The 'liberal' side of the U.S. did its best to prevent the summit. The recent Mueller indictment was timed to sabotage the talks. Democrats, Republicans, state intelligence pundits, hawkish media, liberal media — all have launched a torrent of attacks on Donald Trump for daring to meet with Putin in Helsinki this week. The Washington Post accused Trump of "openly colluding with the criminal leader of a hostile power". As with other politicians and media outlets, the Post said the president had "betrayed" American intelligence services by siding with President Putin in denying that Russia had interfered in US elections.Former CIA chief John Brennan denounced Trump as a "traitor" who had "committed high crimes" in holding a friendly summit with Putin.

The question that we as astrologers need to ask is what has caused the denigration of Trump by almost the entire political and media establishment in the US. Let us go back and look at the chart for the last solar eclipse of July 12 at Washington, DC. Notice that the eclipse which is opposite Pluto makes hard aspects to the horizon axis and is therefore significant for the place.

Recall that the eclipse is conjunct stars of the Twins and more specifically in the Indian lunar mansion, Punarvasu –which translates to the Return of Prosperity or Peace. The summit was all about the improvement of ties between the US and Russia.  The eclipse is square the Mars-Hades midpoint [22ar] and opposite Pluto. It is therefore activating people’s fears of losing control. People’s control needs and psychological complexity (Pluto)  are expressing as “derogatory anger” (Mars-Hades).  Essentially, the  degradation (Hades)  attempts are a ploy for power or  "revenge" (Pluto). I think what we are witnessing  a close variation on the idea that misuse of power includes "ugliness" (and a certain  amount of demeaning "the enemy").
