Devotees at Sri
Anjaneya Swamy Devasthanam in Kondagattu
Pisces is an era of storms and of wholesale
disintegration. But Piscean winds of destiny may impel men of vision and
courage to discover many a "new world," as much as they do destroy or
suffocate the many who stubbornly resist change. Pisces is an era of often
sharp and violent repolarization. It is an era of purgation and cleansing. Man must learn to stand alone and to rely only
upon his own inner Voice. Transcendence, overcoming, piercing through illusions
and false security, severance of social ties, embarking for the great adventure
with utter faith and in denuded simplicity of being: all these things are to be
learned in Pisces. Man is here face to face with himself, and with that Greater
Self which he names: God. He can refuse such a confrontation. He can cling to
oppressive and decadent cities. He can bundle up with refugees and moan forever
before the Wailing Walls provided by dying religions and bloated social
"Saviors." But then, he will be plouged under, as manure for the spring
sowings. - Dane Rudhyar
At
least 53 passengers have died after a state-run Road Transport Corporation
(RTC) bus fell off a ghat road in Telangana. The accident took place in
Jagitial district today. The bus carrying passengers from famous Kondagattu
Anjaneya Swamy Temple slipped into a gorge near Shanivarapet village under the
district at around noon. Sept. 11 https://www.indiatoday.in/india/story/telangana-bus-accident-jagitial-1337557-2018-09-11
The Full Moon of Sep. 9 was opposite Neptune and square the
horizon axis at Kondagattu. Neptune makes hard aspects to the Mars-Uranus square– a combination
linked to accidents. On the Ascendant is the asteroid Phaethon (car or bus) amid
stars of Auriga, the Charioteer and Lepus, the Hare. For this area, Diana
Rosenberg writes “disasters caused by excessive speed or impatience (Lepus:
speed)”.
A chart for noon – the reported time of the accident – has the
Sun - Neptune opposition aligned with the meridian
implicating the aspect in the tragic event
But more importantly, the accident brings home the cosmic
call of Neptune in Pisces. The Neptune archetype represents our collective dreams,
illusions, and spiritual longing for redemption. This is the urge to merge with
something greater than ourselves, whether in terms of God or God-substitute
ideas, such as religion, society, politics, and even science. Almost anything
can be turned into a God substitute, but they’re all ultimately illusory. Many
of our deepest delusions come from the cultures in which we live and the
institutions we associate with. Neptune
appears to blur the line between reality and illusion, but what it’s really
doing is revealing the illusion so you can see through to the reality beyond. Ultimately our own private “spirituality” may be the only
“religion” that can save us and till we reach this realization we may need to go
through difficult experiences much as
the pilgrims to the temple had to.
PS:
The
rape accused Jalandhar bishop Franco Mulakkal is hiding to avoid police action.
The rape victim's family is likely to move the Kerala High Court demanding the
bishop's immediate arrest. A protest was earlier carried out by a group of Catholic
nuns near Kerala HC demanding the accused's ouster.
In an unrelated incident, with a similar Full Moon horoscope
Christians in Kerala are facing disillusionment with their clergy.
