US jets strike Syrian town

Two US jets have bombed a town in the Syrian Deir Ez-Zor province with white phosphorus munitions, causing massive fires, Russian military has said. Two F-15 jets on Saturday bombed the town of Hajin with white phosphorus incendiary munitions, banned under the Geneva Convention, according to the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria.  “Following the strikes, large fires were observed in the area,” Lieutenant-General Vladimir Savchenko said Sunday. There’s still no information on casualties caused by the bombing run, he added.  https://www.rt.com/news/438008-us-strikes-syria-white-phosphorus/

The New Moon of Sep. 9 is conjunct the star Mizar and  makes a hard aspect to Mars on the MC at Deir Ez-Zor . Zeta (ΞΆ) Ursa Major, Mizar, is a double star, possibly binary, brilliant white and pale emerald on the Tail of the Great Bear.

Supposedly, Mizar portends a Mars nature. The reputation of Mizar, if it is in maximal position in a mundane map, is that of being connected with fires of a catastrophic extent and mass calamities. [Fixed Stars and Their Interpretation, Elsbeth Ebertin, 1928, p.55.]

Mars' direct motion  on the MC also externalizes the new 780-day synodic cycle, which was established on the July 27 South Node Total Lunar Eclipse, and which feeds the fiery passion impelled by the New Moon even more so. The recent Mars retrograde was under the auspices of Altair of the Eagle.  In classical astrology, Altair is of military force and power so that the forward motion of Mars is about redefining the use of military power.  Since the Mars-South Node conjunction brings emphasis to these past patterns, we may also see an intensification of their expression in the world as is the case here.

Altair is conjunct the star Sham of Sagitta so that the pair is often depicted as is image above. The eagle combined with the Archer firing his arrow is a perfect symbolic representation of a military aircraft shooting a missile.
