New Moon focus on migration

December 2018 is gearing up to be a pivotal month for migration on the world stage, and the epicentre is here, in Marrakech, Morocco, with two high-level fora  (5th-7th December ) taking place concerning development and migration. However, in order for the discussions that take place at these conferences to be impactful on the lives of ordinary people, the outcomes and agreements signed must be used as a catalyst for governments and concerned organisations to address the drivers intrinsic to migration, including rural poverty, lack of economic opportunity and climate change. To put this into practice, we offer our experiences of a grassroots, participatory development method as a humanitarian alternative to migration. https://www.globalresearch.ca/participatory-development-a-humanitarian-alternative-to-migration/5662531

A New Moon when it occurs on the horizon or the meridian of a place carries a special message.  At Marrakech, Morocco, the New Moon of 7th December is placed exactly on the horizon in the sign Sagittarius.

Sagittarius represents expansion physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. It is the exploration of all that is new, different and foreign, whatever is beyond one’s local surroundings. Sagittarius represents long distance travelling, travelling overseas, exposure to foreign countries and cultures.  Also for many animals preparing for winter it is a time for migration.

The New Moon is square a Mars-Neptune conjunction, which among other things symbolizes victims (Neptune) of wars (Mars). In its positive manifestation, it can be become “compassion that drives meaningful action”.

The New Moon makes hard aspects to the Uranus-Apollon-Vulcanus T-square. A simple delineation for this combination is “intense pressure to seek change through expansion”. http://junojuno2.tripod.com/tnps.htm

Moreover, the TNP Apollon conjoins the star Miaplacidus Carina of Argo Navis.

Miaplacidus, Beta Carina of Argo Navis, is the second brightest and most important star of the Argo—the first being Canopus, Alpha Carina (the helmsman). Miaplacidus is the brightest star in an asterism of stars in Carina known as the Diamond Cross. Miaplacidus is a star of peace and equipoise, and a significant contributor to this area of sidereal Libra. Miaplacidus is of navigation, migration or pilgrimage to places appropriate for safety and harmony; and of creating spaces of harmony for a new birth in life.

The Sabian symbol of the New Moon is quite meaningful in the current context.

PHASE 256 (SAGITTARIUS 16°): SEA GULLS FLY AROUND A SHIP IN EXPECTATION OF FOOD.
KEYNOTE: The easily acquired dependence of psychic desires upon the stimulation of social circumstances.

Animals drawn into the circle of what human society produces find it easier to depend on man's handouts than to pursue their usually difficult search for sustenance. Here the sea gulls symbolize migrants in search of food and a living that they can easily obtain as byproducts or handouts  in  advanced industrially developed countries.
