Crater – the Holy Grail
Archaeologists
have announced the discovery of a drink that was said to promise everlasting
life. It was found secretly stowed away in a 2,000-year-old bronze pot in an
ancient tomb in central China’s Henan province. Around 3.5 litres of the
“elixir of immortality” were found in the tomb in the city of Luoyang during
excavations last October. It was initially thought that the liquid was liquor
because it smelled like alcohol. March 3 https://www.rt.com/news/452930-immortality-elixir-discovered-china/
In mundane astrology, the cardinal ingresses of the Sun have
a traditional reputation as important mundane event. Of these the Capricorn
Ingress chart is considered by many astrologers to the most important and often
referred to as the Annual Chart. The
chart for the sidereal Capricorn Ingress at Luoyang is shown here. As always configurations and star aligned
with the angles are the ones to focus on.
Phoenix – the bird of immortality
Here we have Neptune [14pi] square the Ascendant while Mars
[23pi] is on the IC. Neptune is conjunct kappa Phoenix – the bird of
immortality [1][2] while the MC is amid stars of the Crater [3] often
identified in Christian legend with the Holy Grail – the Cup containing the
elixir of immortality.
So the Capricorn Ingress chart at Luoyang highlights two constellations that are linked to the
ever lasting life. But that is not enough. We must be able to show that on
March 3, the date of the news, one or more of these constellations was brought
into prominence.
First we notice that the upcoming New Moon of March 6 falls
at [16pi] within just two degrees of a conjunction with the radix Neptune and
exactly conjunct Ankaa, the alpha star of the Phoenix. Second, we progress the
ingress chart to March 3. To our surprise we find that the progressed Ascendant
[24pi] has reached a conjunction to radix Mars so that the descendant [24vi] is
conjunct the star Alkes, alpha Crater [24vi]!
