Eclipses tend to bring about endings and new beginnings. How
dramatic these changes can be and in what areas of our lives is a function of
star alignments and other aspecting planets occurring at the time of the
eclipse, and where they occur in the mundane chart.
As always planets on the angles ( horizon and meridian axes)
are the ones to focus on. Why? Because the angles are the fastest moving
element of a chart (about 1 degree in 4 minutes) and therefore specific for a
place. So although the eclipse is worldwide in scope, its effects are felt
primarily through the planets that appear on the angles.
The solar eclipse of Aug.11, 2018 occurred on the MC (upper
meridian) at Kiev, Ukraine. The MC or the 10th house signifies the
President or the top functionary in the government. So a change in the President is what the eclipse is pushing for.
On the descendant is the planet of freedom, rebellion and change
Uranus forming a T-square with Mars and the
nodes.
In his post on the solar eclipse entitled Leaving the Boundaries of Known Self,
Nick Fiorenza [1] explains that this eclipse requires the courage of
self-conviction, belief in self to break trail and go where we have not gone
before.
The question that remains is: if indeed the eclipse was asking for a change
is there any way to know that it would occur on April 21?
The answer to that question is YES. Astrologers have
developed techniques to progress (i.e. move the chart forward in time) to find
out when the promise in the radix comes due. One such method is referred to as
the solar quotidian method. Roughly speaking, the angles are moved forward by
approximately a degree per day. The days on which the progressed angles arrive
at the relevant planetary configuration
are times when the radix promise can be expected to occur in the form of an event.
Here is the eclipse chart progressed to April 21 the date of
the election. Notice two things. First that the progressed Ascendant conjoins
the eclipse that was originally on the MC. And second, Uranus which was on the
descendant is now on the MC. The eclipse is fully triggered!
But apart from the eclipse there is at least one other
indicator. Many events can be explained
by what astrologers call the station point. This term refers to the period when a planet slows
down and stands relatively still before changing directions, and either starts
going backward ("retrograde") or forward ("direct"). On
April 10, Jupiter stationed to go retrograde.
Here is the chart for the time of the station. Notice that the Sun is on
the descendant forming a square to the Nodes. This is a phenomenon that
astrologers refer to as a Moon Wobble which is known to produce “political
upheavals” among other things [2].
We are not done. The best is yet to come. There are details
hidden in horoscopes that can be stunning. One technique that reveals such
details are the SABIAN SYMBOLS [3]. Here the Sabian symbol for the TNP Kronos
(10cn37) is:

The TNP Kronos refers to leaders and the Sabian symbol
appears to suggest that a comedian is likely to be elected!!
