Synastry is the art of relationship astrology. It is a
fascinating and illuminating study of how individuals or groups interact with
one another. No matter how hard we try we cannot get away from the issues that
our relationship charts bring up. At any point in time progressed
interchart aspects between two entities
can bring up the issues involved in the interaction.
Siby solar arc progressed draconic Sun [19sc] is
conjunct EU’s tropical Mercury [19sc] (Nov.1, 1993) which is conjunct the star Zubeneschamali [19sc]. In his post Cracking our Shells - Our Reality - Our
Responsibility, about this star Nick Fiorenza [1] writes:
Zubenelgenubi, the
karmic seat for incarnating souls, lies upon the ecliptic. This location in the
ecliptic is also the exalted seat of Saturn--lord of karmic retribution, keeper
of time. Zubenelgenubi reveals past patterns that keep us entrapped in the
reincarnational clutches--from attaining our highest destiny and evolutionary
freedom. Karma does not mean something bad, it simply means our past
experiential path, one that must be reconciled by moving forth from our past

The chelae create a symmetrical
triangle with Dschuba, Delta Scorpio, head of the Scorpion at ~8° sidereal
Scorpio, with Dschuba being the apex. Dschuba is the administrative seat
determining the karmic / dharmic path of involvement for the incarnating soul,
based on souls' experiential growth. Alignments with Dschuba are indicative
of the need to take personal responsibility for our entrapment and for our
cycle of degeneration, death and rebirth, while alignments within the chelae
are of this entrapment and indicate our karmic / dharmic responsibilities.
Let us understand what this means in the current context of
the EU-US relationship. It is well known that the EU has been subservient to the US. France’s
finance minister is on record [1] as saying that European countries should push back harder
against the Trump administration over the Iran nuclear deal and not act as
“vassals” to the US [2]. The star Zubenelgenubi
reveals past patterns that keep us entrapped while Zubeneschamali embodies our
responsibility to claim our evolutionary freedom and spiritual awakening.
Europe hangs in the balance. Is it going to choose a path that will convert the
“circle” of entrapment into a an evolutionary “spiral”? That is the question
that the Siby-EU progressed synastry is asking. Nothing is pre-destined.
However since Mercury is conjunct Zubeneschamali the probability is higher that
Europe may choose freedom from US diktats.
If solar progressions are looked upon as the “hour”hand of
the cosmic clock, one can imagine the phases of the Moon as the “minute” hand,
so to speak. Here is the chart for the First Quarter Moon of May 12 as Pompeo
heads to Brussels. Moreover, the Moon [21le] is within just two degrees of a
square to EU’s radix Mercury [19sc], thereby acting as a trigger to the “hour”hand.
Notice that this phase has a special significance for
Brussels since it falls on the horizon axis. About the First Quarter Moon, Nick
Fiorenza writes:

In the current context that would mean that Europe is being
pushed to take a risk and move away from subordination to the US. But will it
do it? That is entirely up to the EU leaders. As the English astrologer Alan
Leo observed, “The stars incline, they do
not compel”.
