Eating His Son
With
the world waiting for the first headlines from the Trump-Xi meeting, the most
important and unexpected news of the day hit moments ago, when Europe announced
that the special trade channel, Instex, that will allow European firms to avoid
SWIFT and bypass American sanctions on Iran, is now operational.
Following
a meeting between the countries who singed the Iran nuclear deal, also known as
the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), which was ditched by US,
French, British and German officials said the trade mechanism which was

In mundane astrology, eclipses are especially significant
for a place when they fall on the horizon or meridian. The upcoming solar
eclipse[10cn] of July 2 (already active)
falls on the horizon at Vienna opposite Saturn-Pluto on the Ascendant. Eclipses
can mark endings and new beginnings. Here that would mean with respect to the
Saturn-Pluto dynamics.
The Saturn-Pluto conjunction continues to push lots of
lives up against a wall. Most often fulfilling
the expectations of those in authority (Saturn) can allow one to be manipulated
(Pluto). It's time to use one’s accumulated
wisdom and self-sufficiency (Saturn) to
meet pressures and circumstances that are all but overwhelming (Pluto). Saturn
can test whether we have developed the maturity and self-sufficiency to deal
with circumstances and people who are Plutonian; it's "Can you stand tall
within yourself when circumstances are so intense?"
In natal astrology, eclipses act as powerful turning points if they make hard aspects to planets in a horoscope. Presented here is the chart for the
European Union (EU). Notice that the eclipse [10cn38] makes hard aspects to the Moon-Mars-Pluto-Saturn T-square
in
the EU chart.
Mars is our inner warrior. If we have a healthy Mars,
we’re able to assert ourselves in relationships, speak up in order to persuade
others, and take action to achieve our goals. Saturn (when developed) acts as our
inner “wise old man.” At other times, Saturn is the inner giant that swallows our
creativity and positive motivation (recall the myth of Cronus eating his
children.) In early life, Saturn most often represents the father. In their
shadow form, Saturn suppresses Mars, and Mars wounds Saturn. As a result, Mars conjunct, square or
opposition Saturn can be experienced as negative expressions of masculine
principle. Often this tends to manifest as a sense of weakness or even futility when
trying to assert ourselves or to
accomplish our goals in the world.
Once Mars’ energy is released from suppression and
resentment, Mars-Saturn combination acquires clarity of purpose and
disciplined, patient action. Noel Tyl uses phrases like “Resourcefulness” and
“Indomitable Will”.
Doesn’t it look
like that the Europeans are finally developing a spine?!
