Mizar and the Cancer Ingress

To the magus, there exists no accidental happening…everything is established solidly by that law which the wise man discerns in happenings that appear accidental to the profane. The curve observed in the flight of birds, the barking of a dog, the shape of a cloud, are occult manifestations of that omnipresent, coordinator, the source of unity and harmony - Karl  Seligmann

A massive fire broke out at a crude oil refinery in Philadelphia on Friday, rocking the area with explosions and shooting flames into the early morning sky. The fire erupted about 4 a.m. at Philadelphia Energy Solutions Refining Complex, which claims to be the largest oil refining complex on the East Coast, producing some 335,000 barrels per day. It was not immediately clear how the fire started, but authorities said there were no immediate reports of injuries.  June 21 https://wapo.st/2WXljIL

In mundane astrology, the cardinal ingresses of the Sun (entry into the  four cardinal signs, i.e. 00 deg of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn ) have a traditional reputation as important mundane events. The Sun moved into Cancer today (summer solstice) marking the start of the second quarter. A chart for the Cancer ingress at Philadelphia has the Jupiter-Neptune square straddling the horizon. On the Ascendant is the star Mizar. About this star Nick Fiorenza writes:

Averted planetary alignments with Mizar of the Great Bear (Ursa Major) are historically known to correspond with catastrophic fires or massacres. Mizar brings attention to the use of our creative energies, our creative and destructive tendencies, and the nature of volatile forces [1].

Elwell has defined the term multicongruence as  the tendency for certain things and conditions to co-occur because they belong together at a higher, unmanifest level. He points out that we are conditioned not to attach too much significance to coincidences that occur. However, anybody who follows the news carefully will not fail to notice that sometimes there is a run of “similar” events. A chart for the Cancer Ingress at Washington DC also has the star Mizar on the Ascendant. It is reported that:

President Trump reportedly gave the order to attack Iran Thursday night in response to its downing of a US drone that Washington claims was in international waters at the time. The US went so far as to maneuver planes and ships into position before the strike was called off. https://bit.ly/2Ku4r5N

The action of Mizar in both cases is fairly easy to see. Although he was egged on by the warmongers in his Cabinet, good sense prevailed and Trump took the  decision  not to use the destructive energy at his disposal.

PS:

A  cursory look at Trump’s chart [14 June 1946; 10 :54 am EDT] can explain why he decided not to go ahead with the attack. Notice that Pluto [23cp] has been transiting opposite his radix Saturn [23cn].  About this transit, Robert Hand in his book Planets in Transit writes:

May be forced to surrender your principles….the reality of your situation does not permit you to indulge in emotions. Be prepared to let go.

In the last couple of days, Mars [23cn]  transiting over Trump’s Saturn [23cn] acted as a powerful trigger for the slow moving Pluto to Saturn transit. And for this transit Robert Hand adds:

A difficult day, full of frustrations and irritating occurrences. Do not plan to launch any daring or risky activity, because the chances are that you will not succeed.  Other people may seem unusually irritating to you today. They may seem to be trying to “get your goat,” or worse, to be taking actions that are quite destructive to you and your interests.. You may feel angry but this transit does not give you the opportunity to express your anger.
