A federal judge in Manhattan has ordered that multimillionaire Jeffrey Epstein remain confined while he awaits trial on federal sex trafficking charges. U.S. District Judge Richard M. Berman announced his decision that the 66-year-old financier be held without bail on Thursday, following a hearing Monday in which Epstein's lawyer asked that his client be placed on house arrest with round-the-clock private security guards paid for by Epstein. In Greek and Roman mythology, the eagle was the bird of Zeus, carrying (and retrieving) the thunderbolts which the wrathful god hurled at his enemies. But the eagle was involved in love as well as war. According to one story, Aquila is the eagle that snatched up the beautiful Trojan boy Ganymede, to become the cup-bearer of the gods on Olympus (see image).

With Venus opposite Pluto, the innocence of Venus is pitted against the destroyer-rapist Pluto as depicted in the Greek story of the rape of Persephone. Pluto represents those aspects of the self that constitute its “underworld,” the instincts, the animal like self-serving impulses for power, domination, lust and other drives. On the other hand, Saturn represents authorities or the law  that  passes judgment on these “unacceptable” instincts.
