The
Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has seized the British oil tanker Stena
Impero in the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian media reported. UK authorities said the
tanker had ‘veered off course’ before capture.
The
Stena Impero was headed to Saudi Arabia but left the international sea lanes
and headed north towards the Iranian island of Qeshm, marine tracking data
showed on Friday. July 20, 2019 https://www.rt.com/news/464594-iran-confiscates-british-tanker/
Tensions between the UK and Iran flared up earlier this
month when Royal Marines seized an Iranian tanker which was suspected of
breaking EU sanctions. The UK suspected Grace 1, detained on 4 July near
Gibraltar, was carrying oil bound for Syria. The seizure was against
international law.
In response to the seizure, Iran threatened to seize a
British oil tanker. On 9 July, the UK raised the threat to British shipping in
Iranian waters in the Gulf to "critical" - the highest level. Yesterday, the IRGC made good its promise just
after Gibraltar announced that it will hold the 'Grace 1' for another month. We
can guess that those plans will soon change.
July is eclipse season. And eclipses can bring matters that
have remained unaddressed to a boiling point. In this post we look at the lunar
eclipse chart drawn for the mid-point between London and Tehran. The newly discovered
dwarf planet Eris associated with conflict and discord is on the Ascendant
forming a T-square with the eclipse axis. The eclipse Moon conjoins
Saturn-Pluto on the South Node.
The South Node of the Moon symbolizes past patterns of
behavior that have outlived their usefulness and need to be discarded. Here the
South Node is amid stars of the Archer and the Eagle both easily recognizable
symbols of war. Pluto represents those aspects of the self that constitute its
“underworld,” the instincts, the animal like self-serving impulses for power
and domination among other drives. On
the other hand, Saturn represents law and
order - the only way to ensure that
chaos does not tear our world apart. Saturn
is therefore warning Pluto to follow the rules rather than risk stirring up
animosities by engaging in futile power struggles.
Let us remember, a horoscope never tells us the outcome of
the planetary patterns. It only describes the energies involved. How we respond
to those energies is up to us.
But why did the Strait of Hormuz become a flash point.
Just three days before the eclipse, the Sun formed an exact opposition to Pluto
that aligned perfectly with the horizon putting the Strait in the cross hairs
of the Plutonian eruptions. With the stars of Argo Navis on the descendant, the
diagram also gives a clue to why a ship is involved.
