The Brazil wildfires
are now receiving international attention. Most of the wildfires have occurred in the Amazon region, the world's largest rainforest, which is
considered to be "vital to counter global warming". As of August 20,
there are fires burning in the rainforest in four Brazilian states: Amazonas,
Rondônia, Mato Grosso and Pará. Many events like this one can be related to the
New Moon or Full Moon. Here is the chart for the current New Moon of August 1
at Brasilia, the capital of Brazil. Notice that it is placed very significantly
on the lower meridian forming a square (90
degrees) aspect to Uranus on the Ascendant.
Among events connected to the stars that conjoin the New
Moon, Diana Rosenberg lists “fires”. Moreover, Uranus [6ta] on the Ascendant is
among stars of Cepheus also called “inflammatus”.
Diana Rosenberg writes:
There are devastating
fires here – among them the Great Fire of Rome, 64 CE; the Charleston SC fire
of 1838 that destroyed more than half the city; the Oct 1993 fires fanned
by Santa Ana winds that devastated
Southern California; the huge 1842 Hamburg, Germany fire; the Lake View School
fire in Collingwood, OH, 1908; the infamous Ring Theatre fire in Vienna 1881;
the L’Innovation Department Store fire
in Brussels, 1967; the Halloween Disco fire in Goteborg, Sweden in 1998 and
many others.
Many events can be
explained by what astrologers call the station point. This term refers to the period when a planet slows
down and stands relatively still before changing directions, and either starts
going backward ("retrograde") or forward ("direct"). Think
"station" as in stationary, in other words. It is reported that on
August 11, a state of emergency was declared by the government of Amazonas. This
happens to be the exact date when (a) Jupiter stationed to go direct and (b)
Uranus stationed to go retrograde. Notice that the charts for these stations have
Uranus (with Cepheus’ stars) on the horizon axis – one of the two axes where
all the action takes place.
