“Initiates of the Egyptian
Mysteries were sometimes called scarabs; again, lions and panthers. The scarab
was the emissary of the sun, symbolizing light, truth, and regeneration.” –

The Immortal Egyptian Beetle
Five
years is a long time in politics. In 2014, relations between Russia and the
West went into a nosedive over Ukraine and Syria. The “annexation” of Crimea,
the shooting down of the Malaysian airliner, and the conflict in eastern
Ukraine destroyed the partial re-establishment of normal relations which had
started in 2008 with President Obama’s “re-set” and Nicolas Sarkozy’s
rapprochement with Vladimir Putin. Vladimir Putin’s visit on Monday to the fort
at Bregancon, the official summer residence of the French president,
demonstrates that that period is now officially closed. On every level, the
West has now abandoned its earlier hostility to Putin and Russia. https://www.rt.com/op-ed/466882-macron-putin-meeting-france/
Lunations (New or Full Moons) can affect a place
dramatically when they fall on the horizon or meridian axis. The New Moon of
Aug 1, fell exactly on the Ascendant at the midpoint between Paris and Moscow
implying that it had an important message for the relationship between the two
countries. In his blog post for the current lunar month, Nick Fiorenza explains
what that message is:
The August 1 New Moon
conjoins Asellus Borealis and Asellus Australis, , the star cluster Preasepe
and its central star Meleph (ε), all of Cancer. Cancer, commonly the
crab today, is also the Egyptian Scarabaeus, an image that illustrates the
theme of humanity's emergence from darkness, dogma, and delusion and its
reawakening back to light. This theme also applies to our individual growth and
emergence from the family nest or from the collective consciousness that we
co-create. The Scarab is a symbol of regeneration, transformation, and
re-birth, of being self-created or self-made, to rise from itself—hence
humanity's association with the beetle's gestation and emergence.
Praesepe, with some aspects or transits, can
impel emergence, migration, new beginnings, shedding old skins, skeletons, and
cocoons. This is emerging out of the family nest, finding new paths and
directions, or leaving behind old dwellings and the structures of consciousness
they represent, or getting out of the collective dogma and the darkness it
creates.
Our Scarabaeus New
Moon and this lunar cycle impel us to discern between that which is of value to
hold onto and that is truly nurturing and our need to relinquish that which
limits our emergence into light and illumination. It impels us to become free of
dogmas, both collective and personal, those that keep us entrapped in our
patterns of the past and an old-world paradigm. https://www.lunarplanner.com/
Doesn’t it look as though the two countries are responding
to the New Moon message by leaving their past behind? The square from Uranus,
the planet that rules freedom from the past, is a major help.
