Syrian Army enters Khan Sheikhoun

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has entered Khan Sheikhoun after the militants withdrew from the northern sector of the city this morning. According to a military source in nearby Hama, the Syrian Arab Army entered the northern sector of the city after receiving the green light from their high command. The Syrian Army is now combing through the empty neighborhoods to secure the city and clear any explosives left behind by the jihadist rebels before they withdrew from Khan Sheikhoun. The horoscope of Syria is based on the French transfer of power to the Syrian Government on Jan. 1, 1944; 00.00. AM EET (+00.00) [1]. Our attention is immediately drawn to the long drawn transit of Saturn  and Pluto opposite the Sun and conjunct the MC of the chart since 2013 roughly the period of the war when US and Saudi sponsored jihadists descended to create chaos in the country. Now with Saturn about to station direct on the MC, the period is coming to an end.

Often as in this case, an eclipse marks the end of a period and the beginning of another. The chart for the lunar eclipse of Aug. 16 drawn for Damascus, Syria has the Saturn-Pluto-S.Node conjunction placed very significantly on the MC.

The Saturn–Pluto cycle occurs roughly every 33 to 38 years. In its purest form, this cycle is one of the highest tests of integrity  along with a test of capacity and resilience. Beyond the management of power, this cycle is also about the skill to increase power.  Although Pluto’s oft repeated keyphrase is “death and rebirth”, most of us do not display the courage to tear down our lives. Most often we have not been too aggressive with our Plutonian drives and have instead allowed the Pluto process to remain submerged. In this case defiance and rage has not been part of our repertoire in dealing with those who transgress our boundaries. Under Saturn-Pluto, fateful circumstances then force us to let go of our past and start anew.  Saturn acting on Pluto allows us the transformative option of bringing more of our Pluto potential into a concrete, workable form often through victory over forces that had been keeping us down and out. This can be a “coming out” process where we finally show our power to be ourselves on our terms and take chances living a more authentic life.
