Thomas
Cook has collapsed after last-minute negotiations aimed at saving the holiday
firm failed. The UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said the tour operator has
"ceased trading with immediate effect". The tour operator's failure
puts 22,000 jobs at risk worldwide, including 9,000 in the UK. It has also
triggered the biggest ever peacetime repatriation aimed at bringing British
holidaymakers home. Sep.23 https://www.bbc.com/news/business-49791249
Thomas Cook Group plc was a British, global travel group.
It was formed on 19 June 2007. The group
operated in two separate segments, the Tour Operator and the Airline. Thomas
Cook is listed on both the London Stock Exchange and the Frankfurt Stock
Exchange. The company ceased trading on 23 September 2019.
Jupiter square Neptune is in effect for a large portion
of the year, with three exact hits in January, June, and September. The last of
the squares took place on Sep.21 and was
caught on the meridian at London implying that its influence would definitely
be felt in events. Check an earlier post on the bankruptcy of a French airline [1].
Among other things, the square produces a combination of
arrogance or over-confidence, short-sightedness, and an absolute conviction
that one is either right and/or would not get caught. It is a well known aspect
associated with over-extension followed by collapse or bankruptcy.
Take a look at the noon horoscope of Thomas Cook drawn
for 19 June 2007. It has Sun [27ge48] conjunct TNP Hades [26ge09] opposite
Pluto [27sa3]. Martha Wescott interprets Pluto-Hades as “problems and decline
through debt, reliance on credit and loss of integrity”.
But more surprising is the Sabian symbol for the Sun [2].
