Solar eclipse promotes the "Joker"

Joker is a 2019 American psychological thriller film. The film, based on DC Comics characters, stars Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker. Distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, it is intended to launch DC Black, a series of DC-based standalone films. The film, which acts as an origin story for the Joker, is set in 1981 and follows Arthur Fleck, a mentally ill, impoverished stand-up comedian disregarded by society, whose lack of success causes him to become a nihilistic criminal. In the film, the Joker is depicted as a sort “angry virgin,” whose turn to villainy is a result of the mockery and bullying he encounters from his peers as well as his frustration over lacking attention or affection.

The cosmic clock ticking, as planets pursue their motion and form celestial patterns, provides a flavor, a meaning, or a message for each passing minute or for a whole epoch. Of all these transits, astrologers regard a solar eclipse as a momentous event which colors the period that follows for at least 6 months. While an eclipse is a worldwide event, it primarily affects those places where it falls on the horizon or meridian.  The total solar eclipse [10cn27] of July 2 fell on the horizon axis opposite Saturn-Pluto at Venice where Joker premiered at the  Venice International Film Festival on August 31, 2019. The Sabian symbol [1][2] for the eclipse degree is:

PHASE 101 (CANCER 11°): A CLOWN CARICATURING WELL-KNOW PERSONALITIES.

KEYNOTE: The value of humor in developing objectivity and independence of mind.

Humor and irony is a powerful tool in assessing the value of socio-cultural realities, and thereby in freeing oneself from glamour and prejudice. Laughter deconditions and often paves the way to a realization that we need not be unduly impressed by what our tradition has more or less forced upon our consciousness. The clown, of course, is the more popular manifestation of this urge to laugh, which seems to be such a basic characteristic of human nature. Caricature and satire are more intellectual forms of the same need for intellectual freedom.

An extract from a previous post reminds us about the dynamics of Saturn-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn.

Pluto’s stripping away process is programmed to destroy Capricorn’s false walls. The transit serves to expose the corrupt workings of the system…. The liability of conformity to externally imposed paradigms  can come with a high price tag. People live tragic lives because they have been taught to believe that there is no other way for them to exist except to follow the rules laid down by authority figures. With Pluto in Capricorn, people are learning to separate from consensus based ideologies and lifestyles and to develop and align with internal authority.

Doesn’t  the Sabian symbol with its portrayal of the need for “deconditioning” and “intellectual freedom” bring out the message of Saturn-Pluto quite well! And more importantly, Saturn-Pluto is a combination that is associated with attainment of success against powerful forces out to victimize you.

Finally, let us pass the eclipse chart through the test that we use regularly on this site. If the eclipse is indeed relevant to the Joker, the progressed angles should trigger the eclipse on August 31, the day of the premier. And indeed they do. Look at the chart progressed to Aug. 31. Notice that the eclipse which was on the descendant now reaches the lower meridian on that date and is therefore triggered.

Did the heavens conspire for the Joker to win the Golden Lion, the festival's highest prize!?
