In mundane astrology, the cardinal ingresses of the Sun (entry into the  four cardinal signs, i.e. 00 deg of Aries, Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn ) have a traditional reputation as important mundane events. Of these the sidereal Capricorn Ingress (Capsolar) is considered by many astrologers to be the most important and often referred to as the Annual Chart. So impressive is the “Capsolar” chart that its progressions can mark important events during the year.

Here is the chart for the sidereal Capricorn Ingress drawn for Hamburg, Germany. As always planetary patterns aligned with the horizon or meridian are the ones to focus on. Here a Grand Cross straddles the meridian. The Sun on the MC is conjunct the South Node-Saturn-Pluto and square Uranus.

The South Node of the Moon symbolizes past patterns of behavior that have outlived their usefulness and need to be discarded. Here the South Node is conjunct Saturn-Pluto amid stars of the Archer and the Eagle both easily recognizable symbols of war.

For Ebertin, the Uranus-Pluto refers to “ the process of transformation…the collapse of an old order and the beginning of a new one”. Now here is where things become really interesting. Placed between the Sun [25cp] and Pluto [21cp] is the asteroid House [23cp] which literally refers to a house! With the stars in the backdrop referring to a past (S.Node) connected with war (Archer and Eagle) is it at all surprising that we are discussing the transformation of a building that was in the past connected to a war!

If we still doubt the foregoing analysis, let us progress the Capsolar to October 14, the date of the news. Notice that on this date the Grand Cross aligns once more with the meridian implying that its energies are triggered!
