Uranus-Pluto and the Ecuador Protests

In Ecuador, the fight against IMF austerity measures is far from over. Just a few hours after my article was published on Sunday, 13 October, Ecuador  – and the IMF’s Killing Spree  – President Lenin Moreno declared the infamous Decree 883 was canceled, i.e. the astronomical price increases for fuel were reversed, the (police) state of emergency and curfew were called off. He wanted to put an end to the 11 days of protests with police and military induced violence. http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/52421.htm

The Ecuadorian protests (3 October 2019 – 14 October 2019) were a series of protests and riots against austerity measures including the cancellation of fuel subsidies, adopted by President of Ecuador LenĂn Moreno and his administration.

Many  events can be explained by what astrologers call the station point. This  term refers to the period when a planet slows down and stands relatively still before changing directions, and either starts going backward ("retrograde") or forward ("direct"). While many astrologers look to the station point primarily for what it tells us about when and where a planet is changing direction, stations possess another level of meaning that's often overlooked, and which could be even more important in symbolism than its role as a directional marker. Why? Because in the process of slowing down and grinding to a seeming halt, the influence of that planet is dramatically amplified.

The start of the Ecuador protests coincided with Pluto station direct on 3 October (see image). But why? Regular readers will be aware of  the sidereal Capricorn Ingress chart (Capsolar) or what astrologers refer to as the Annual Chart. Notice that the Capsolar for Quito, Ecuador has Sun-Pluto placed very significantly on the Ascendant square Uranus.

About the dominating Uranus-Pluto square  Bill Herbst writes:

The alignment indicates a breakdown in our largest institutions (Capricorn) that starts from within the institutions themselves as an egregious overplaying of their power in ways that are clearly self-serving rather than for the greater good (Pluto), which is then furthered by an unexpected rebellion (Uranus) against institutional malfeasance, a seemingly spontaneous insurrection that occurs from the ground level up, fomented by individuals (Aries) who stand up in protest against the oppressive influence of such institutions. Actually, these insurrections aren’t spontaneous; they’ve been brewing invisibly under the surface, slowly heating up as discontent with the status quo grows. Such rebellions manifest as potent and disruptive forces in the collective, however, only after critical mass is reached at the boiling point, so that they appear to arise full-blown and without precedent, as if out of nowhere.

So what activated the Uranus-Pluto square in the Capsolar at Quito? Pluto stationing direct right on top of its very sensitive position in the radix.
