What makes
astrology supremely relevant is that it discloses an unsuspected dimension of
the world we think we know so well. It is as though we have become accustomed
to see only the horizontal yarn of the weaving, the weft, and are largely
unaware of the warp. We are accustomed to break down our world, in order to
understand it, into certain categories, recognizing what belongs to this
category, what belongs to that. That is ‘scientific’. However, astrology is
about learning to think in new categories. It embodies a system of new
categories that are as different from the ones to which we are habituated, as
the warp is from the weft. In this system objects and events that at first
sight appear to have nothing whatever to do with each other are shown to be
intimately connected. Conversely, things we naturally tend to associate may be
distributed otherwise in the astrological scheme. Understanding the world
around us depends on our power to perceive patterns of meaning, to make the
right connections, recognize what belongs with what. It is not easy. Unaided,
it is as if we are looking at the weaving from the wrong side, and it seems a
mess, but with the help of astrology we can see the design as it is meant to
be. As the shuttle of the cosmic loom ceaselessly weaves its intricate design,
astrologers have the responsibility, or rather the awesome privilege, to work
towards restoring to humanity the sense of high meaning it has all but lost.”
Dennis
Elwell, The Cosmic Loom
Charts of nations have seldom been studied as deeply as
individual nativities. But astrologers are beginning to realize that national
charts can yield profound insight into
what is happening to a nation. Presented here is the chart of the United States
often referred to as the Sibly. In this post we look at the progressions of the
Sibly.
Astrological
progressions are one of the main means used in Horoscopic astrology to forecast
future trends and developments (the other means is transits, which are simply
the ongoing movements of the planets across the sky). As its name implies,
astrological progression involves a method of progressing the Horoscope forward
from the moment of the birth or beginning of the subject into the future, and
is most usually done for the birth or natal chart of a particular individual.
Astrological
progression is a part of what is usually called predictive astrology, the claim
of astrology to predict or forecast future trends and developments. Most
astrologers nowadays regard the term 'prediction' as something of a misnomer,
as modern astrology does not claim to directly predict future events as such.
Instead it is claimed that an astrological pattern with regard to the future
can correspond with any one of a variety of possibilities. What is in fact
foretold is the trend of circumstances and the nature of the individual's
reaction to the situation. In other
words, progressed and transiting movements of the planets indicate phases in
the individual's life when the potential shown in the natal chart will be given
opportunities for development, whether through favourable or unfavourable
circumstances. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astrological_progression
There are several standard ways of progressing a chart.
Here we examine the Sibly solar arc progressions. The current solar arc progressed Sun is [15pi24] is conjunct
the medical asteroid Aesculapia [16pi] linked to disease and ill health [1]. In
addition, the Sun is making a hard aspect to the Sibly TNP
Hades [0sc47] which is square Pluto [27cp32]. The tables below from Blake
Finley’s essay on Hades [2] gives some keywords for the TNP. Notice that
bacteria (virus?), “disease and epidemics” are some of them. Combine Hades with
Aesculapia and you have the link to Coronavirus.

But let us understand that the central Sibly Hades-Pluto
square that has been triggered by the
progression means far more…and the epidemic is simply one of the
manifestations. In case we forget Saturn and Pluto are also transiting over
Sibly Pluto [3]. In her book The Orders of Light, Martha Wescott
interprets Hades-Pluto as:
Hades-Pluto:
changes (Pluto) that are not for the better but that bring about a decline
(Hades); to recognize that ugliness (Hades) is rooted in resentment or a desire
for revenge or power (Pluto); problems and decline (Hades) through debt,
reliance on credit, and loss of integrity (Pluto).
Hopefully readers
can see that each of the keyphrases above is also active in the US scenario!
This is what Jung meant by synchronicity!!

[3] The following passage from Steven Forrest’s
The Book of Pluto applies:
Astrologer Grant Lewi, decades
ago began to speak of Saturn as “the cosmic paycheck”. His implication was that
under passing Saturn symbolism, we would all "get what we deserve".
That phrase – “get what we deserve” is something of an inkblot test. Some of us
may hear it ominously, others encouragingly. And both possibilities are on the
radar screen when Pluto links to Saturn.…what if we have been overindulging in
denial, projection and laziness? What kind of paycheck can we expect then? Here we see the dark side
of Pluto-Saturn possibilities. Our worst fears come true. The one thing we
couldn’t handle looms in our face.
