Hercules – the “thug”
Monday
was a tough day for Washington DC, like dozens of other cities across the
country, as the demonstrations and protests over the killing of George Floyd by
a police officer marched on. In order to restore order President Donald Trump
has decided to deploy "additional federal assets" in the nation's
capital. June 2 https://sptnkne.ws/C8ru
Eclipses are
powerful omens for good or evil. The lunar eclipse of June 5 conjoins Ras Algethi and Sarin of northern
Hercules. Of the constellation Manilius [1]
wrote:
"Hercules, the figure on bended knee and
called by the Greek name of Engonasin, about whose origin no certainty
prevails. Of this constellation is begotten the desertion, craftiness, and
deceit characteristic of its children, and from it comes the thug who terrorizes the
heart of the city." [Manilius, Astronomica, 1st century, AD,
p.353.]
Presented here is the US Sibley as rectified by Dane
Rudhyar [2]. The Ascendant of the chart is [13sa]. The lunar eclipse of June 5
at [15sa] falls within just two degrees of the Ascendant (cusp of First House)
with the Sun on the descendant.
In Mundane
Astrology the First House rules: The common people or general state of the
nation [3].
The radix Ascendant is conjunct the midpoints
[Cupido/Hades] and [Pluto/Hades] which are therefore activated by the eclipse.
The meaning of the midpoints as provided by Martha Wescott are:
Cupido/Hades: to
see a decline of unity in a group (here nation).
Pluto/Hades: to
recognize the power of the criminal element; to recognize that ugliness is
rooted in resentment or a desire for revenge or power.
Among events linked to the stars that conjoin the
eclipse, Diana Rosenberg lists “fires; events that overwhelm authorities and/or
emergency services” [4].
No further commentary is required. The lunar eclipse “Hercules – thugs” are leading
the mobs (first house).
