Virgin goddess Astraea with scales of Justice
ICC’s
chief prosecutor is threatening to investigate two states – the US and Israel –
whose actions have been particularly damaging to international law in the
modern era. http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/55204.htm
Fatou Bom Bensouda ( born 31 January 1961) is a Gambian
lawyer and international criminal law prosecutor. She has been the
International Criminal Court's chief prosecutor since June 2012. Here we look
at her horoscope to understand what makes her such a brave woman committed to
justice. Stars conjoining her Sun [11aq] include Albali of Aquarius; Armus of
Capricorn; Alpha Tucana and those of Indus and Microscopium.
About these stars, Nick Fiorenza writes [1]:
Albali begins the
overlap of the constellations of Aquarius and Capricorn. This shift is also
caused by the influence of the wing of Cygnus, which begins with Delta and
Kappa Cygnus, marking the northern wing tip; and the influence of Delphinus,
which lies just under the wing. The stars of Gruis the Crane and also those of
Pisces Australis also influence the latter half of sidereal Capricorn. All of
this shifts the nature of Capricorn from a more detailed, exclusive, and
self-focused character, common to earlier Capricorn, to one that is wiser, more
inclusive and embracing of other people, knowledge and ideas. This is where the
Aquarian humanitarian influence begins to be felt in sidereal Capricorn. Armus
is about our responsibility in the world. Armus is also of legal agreements,
partnerships in business, and negotiations. Armus and Albali extend Capricorn's
zodiakal quality from personal level motive to a sense that our responsibility
must extend beyond ourselves, to embrace the needs of those around us, and to
our extended families.
And more specifically for Alpha Tucan and Microscopium he
comes up with an interesting image:
The image of a lawyer in a courtroom or a
detective amalgamating a set of fragmented information over time into a
coherent conclusion.
Moreover, Bensouda’s Sun [11a] makes a sharp square to
Neptune [11sc] which in turn is conjunct the stars Acrux and Menkent. About
this area Diana Rosenberg writes:
There are issues of
intolerance, of the too-ready use of violence…of ethics, morality, honesty and
justice vs dishonesty. Under the renewing, healing Serpent, the punishing,
redeeming and purifying Centaur, Scales of Justice and Southern Cross, a
lifelong effort to achieve peace and healing may ultimately be rewarded.
The Scales of
Justice bring in legal and judicial concerns; these stars were transited at the
births of 13th century judge Ibn Khallikan, 18th century
reformer Jermey Bentham; frontier lawman/ US Marshal “Wild Bill” Hickok;
magistrate Baron de Montesquieu, “Godfather of the American Constitution” who
bequeathed the idea of government “checks and balances” (the Libra Scales!).
So what has triggered this natal Sun-Neptune combination
now? Well for one thing her progressed
Sun [11ar] is now sextile (60 deg.) radix Sun and quincunx ( 210 deg.) radix
Neptune. This is indeed a very powerful trigger and we can see that she is
living up to the challenges presented by the stars.
Finally let us
turn our attention to the Israel-US Davison Relationship Chart (DRC). Notice
that the June 5 lunar eclipse fell on the radix Sun [18ge] – Uranus [16ge]
conjunction forming a T-square with Saturn-Jupiter and Mars-Kronos. The Mars/Kronos midpoint is
at [18pi]. For this midpoint Martha
Wescott writes:
Mars-Kronos: To see
anger over differences of opinion; to question the power of authorities; to be annoyed at or to challenge regulations,
procedures, red tape or bureaucratic hurdles.
