Signs U.S. International Power Is Declining

Hebe – Cup bearer to the gods

On June 15th, Breaking Defense headlined “Japan Halts $2.1B Aegis Ashore Work; New Black Eye For Struggling Program” and reported that Japan’s defense minister, Taro Kono, announced: “Due to considerations of cost and timing, we have stopped the process of introducing the Aegis Ashore system.” https://www.strategic-culture.org/news/2020/06/30/signs-us-international-power-declining/

Synastry is a method of comparing two or more horoscopes. This makes it possible to find the interaspects, i.e. the aspects between the planets and axes of one horoscope to another one. It is an effective and easily understood method, and it can be combined with predictive tools such as progressions and transits. In this post we use synastry to understand the new developments in the relationship between the US and its ally Japan. The radix data for Japan’s mundane horoscope is [May 3, 1947; 0:00 hrs JST, Tokyo) and for the US Sibly [July 4, 1776; 5:10 pm LMT, Philadelphia]. Japan’s current MC solar arc progressed [27cp] is conjunct Sibly Pluto [27cp] square Hebe [25ar]  opposite Atropos [28cn].

Martha Wescott provides the following definitions and interpretations:

ATROPOS: Endings, completion, conditions at the finish, what is needed to conclude.

HEBE: Service personnel (waitresses, secretaries, receptionists, bartenders, etc.;) service attitudes; waiting on others; enabling (facilitating the egocentric, emotionally immature or demanding behaviors of others); codependency.

Atropos/Pluto

COMING TO THE END OF THOSE SPURS  that have kept one "down and damaged" and repeating inner conflicts;  there is a hope here for "the end" of  being controlled.

Atropos/Hebe

People have to reassess  what they've tolerated if they hope to put an end to a habit of  supporting the immature, excessive or irresponsible behaviors of others.  People can feel "done" with being doormats or enablers and can find that  putting a halt to servile acquiesence brings relationships to an abrupt  halt.
