Perseus and
Andromeda by Giorgio Vasari
Astrologers have long recognized that eclipses tend to
bring about endings and new beginnings. They offer a time to resynchronize our
selves with the ever-changing cosmic currents supporting our evolutionary
progression in consciousness. The nature of the effect that eclipses have is a
function of the star alignments and other aspecting planets occurring at the
time of the eclipse. While an eclipse is worldwide in scope, its effect is more
prominently felt at places where it aligns with the horizon or meridian.
The upcoming Lunar Eclipse of July 5 not only aligns with
the US Sibly radix Sun [13cn] but forms a T-square implying that it has an
important effect on the US. What then is the nature of this influence? The apex
of a T-Square is the focal point. This is the point that is the most critical
placement of the T-square. Here the apex is the Ascendant [12ar47] which is
conjunct the stars Alderamin [13ar] alpha (α) Cepheus and Alpheratz alpha (α)
Andromeda [14ar35]. The Ascendant in a
mundane chart refers to the general public. To understand what follows, readers
are urged to read Nick Fiorenza’s article Andromeda,
Perseus, & The Royal Family [1].
The stars of
Andromeda delineate the struggle for freedom from the collective and tormenting
forces of the psycho-emotional human world, to claim our true freedom.
Negatively, Alpheratz can also express as being caught in the power plays
created by the arrogance or denials of others often manifesting as elaborate
emotional dramatics but in broader terms
it refers to the bondage, suppression and manipulation of humanity's prosperous
future through the control of financial resources by the dominant
patriarchal-driven bureaucracies.
Alpha (α) Cepheus,
Alderamin, is a star marking the right shoulder of the King. Alderamin may submit
to manipulative forces rather than stand up for those unjustly held in bondage,
even when it is his responsibility to do so. It
can express as a flippant and indecisive attitude to do anything about
them. But when positive, Alderamin impels impartial and emotionally clearheaded
authoritative action to address entrapping situations in a way that provides
resolution. Alderamin ultimately provides aid or solution, but often after what
may seem like an initial aloofness. Alpheratz and Alderamin amalgamate to form
a fortunate outcome, but sometimes drawn out through the emotional Piscean
waters, and a long period of unwillingness or simple naïveté [2].
With Mercury station retrograde at [14cn] has
triggered the eclipse Sun [13cn].
The symbolism of the Andromeda story as it applies to
the current situation in the US is
fairly clear. No further commentary is required.
Further insight is obtained from the precession corrected
Sibly solar return. Here we have:
Sun =Pluto-Hades = Cupido-Vulcanus
The interpretation of these midpoints are as under:
Pressure (Vulcanus)
to unify as a “family” (here nation) [Cupido] results in a decline [Hades]
following a showdown, upheaval or outburst [Pluto].
The sense of unity
as a nation [Cupido] goes through a radical change [Pluto].
To recognize the
power [Pluto] of the criminal element or masses [Hades].
Instances where
mistreatment [Hades] has become a motivation for vindictive action [Pluto].
