In a previous post [1], I wrote:
The New Moon of July 21 opposite Saturn,
Jupiter and Pluto (in Capricorn) will bring to our attention a variety of
events all of which contain the seed of the birth of a new order. Saturn Pluto
alignments represent the need for deep changes in the structure of society and
how we use power.
Capricorn, much like Saturn, is
the archetype of authority and in its darkest face, what astrologer Steven
Forrest calls the "crushing patriarch." Both Capricorn and Saturn
symbolize systems and structures which seek to preserve their dominance at any
cost. Pluto, as Lord of the underworld,
always brings shadow material to the surface. Its transit through Capricorn is serving to
draw back the curtain until the flaws, failings, and destructiveness of the
system become so obvious, they can no longer be ignored. Pluto’s stripping away
process is programmed to destroy Capricorn’s false walls.
At Washington DC, the New Moon was prominently placed on the meridian implying that its energies were vary active at that place. Teenager Nick Sandmann (b. July 24, 2002) has his radix Sun [2le] on the MC of the New Moon chart implying that the New Moon was picking him out for a drama that was going to unfold in Washington DC.
On an individual level, the New
Moon is bringing to light how we may have allowed ourselves to remain trapped
by externally imposed rules and regulations. Pluto’s transit can then unleash the depressed, repressed, denigrated,
devalued, trapped, inhibited, grief stricken, hard done by, long suffering, or
persecuted victim. Negatively, the
result of such self-infliction can produce ineffectiveness, pessimism,
submissiveness, self sabotage, paranoia, and futility consciousness. Too, this
inner orientation can prompt emotional and physical depletion, immobilization,
paralysis, and self-destruction. In other words, this can produce a breakdown unless we are courageous
enough to make a breakthrough. Can it be a coincidence that Nick Sandman achieved
a breakthrough on his birthday (July 24) when the Sun returned to his natal
position opposite transiting Pluto-Saturn.
Finally we take a look at the news
story from the perspective of the June 5 lunar eclipse. Remember that eclipses
continue to shape events long after they are gone. Their effects are felt primarily through the
mundane houses in which they occur. At
Washington DC from where Washington Post is published it fell in the 3rd
house which among other things rules newspapers and the media in general [2].
The Washington Post (WaPo) was founded on December 6, 1877 so that
its radix Sun is at [15sa] – exactly where the eclipse took place. It is as
though WaPo was being chosen to be part a
drama orchestrated by the eclipse. The eclipse luminaries where placed in
Gemini and Sagittarius. Gemini is ruled by Mercury – the trickster and
therefore associated with lies and deceit while Sagittarius is about truth so
that the essence of the drama was about lies versus truth.
Regular readers will be aware
that eclipses become active on those days when progressions bring them to an
alignment with the angles. Here is the chart for the June 5 eclipse progressed
to July 24 when the case was decided. Notice that eclipse axis makes a perfect
Grand Cross with the meridian on this date! The Mars-Neptune conjunction on the
IC is about fighting a battle (Mars) against lies (Neptune).
