US threatens Iraq withdrawal

  

Following near daily attacks centered in and around Baghdad's Green Zone where the sprawling US embassy is located as well as other multiple American and other international institutions, Washington has put the Iraqi government on notice over the breakdown in security, saying it could shutter the US embassy altogether. 

The State Department is livid after repeat rocket and mortar attacks on the embassy, and has blamed a failure of Iraq's security forces and of Iraq's leaders to respond appropriately, also amid the intensified proxy war with Iran. Mars is currently  transiting through its own sign of Aries. Here it is extremely dynamic and will dominate the second half of 2020, especially during the retrograde phase from September 9 to November 13 (28°08ʹ–15°14ʹ Aries). 

Mars retrogrades approximately every two years, but it rarely does so in the sign of Aries. It happened last in 1988 and won’t occur again until 2067. This year Mars will be much more powerful than it was in 1988, when it was not making hard aspects to any of the outer planets. 

These powerful transits are all linked to clashes concerning the use and abuse of power. This is one of the major themes of the Saturn–Pluto conjunction in Capricorn, and it is now being challenged by the squares from Mars. It’s possible that people will become much more assertive in response to abuses of power at this time. This entire retrograde period may be forceful, divisive, and inflamed. 

The  effect is felt strongly in places where the Mars-Saturn-Pluto square is brought to the angles in relevant mundane charts e.g. planetary returns, ingresses, lunations, planetary stations etc. 

Remember that  the news comes to us just as Saturn begins to station direct on Sep. 29 while also completing an exact Mars-Saturn square – a chart for the planetary aspect drawn for Baghdad has it placed very significantly  in alignment with the meridian.

 The interpretation is quite simple. The Iraqi’s have become very assertive to the abuse of power by the US first in starting a war on a false pretext and then continuing to occupy Iraq illegally.
