Hollywood Is Dying

If you have been noticing a severe decline in the quality of American entertainment over the course of the past decade, you are not the only one. 70% of Americans say they would rather stay home and watch movies instead of paying to go to theaters, even if theaters reopen. Industry spin doctors will claim that the drop in interest is due solely to the coronavirus, but this is a lie. Domestic movie attendance hit a 25 year low in 2017, and this is part of a long term slide which was building for years beforehand. https://alt-market.us/hollywood-is-dying-and-the-elites-dont-care/

Much like for an individual, horoscopes can be drawn for an entire industry if we have the date of its origin. The first film by a Hollywood studio, Nestor Motion Picture Company, was shot on October 26, 1911. The H. J. Whitley home was used as its set, and the unnamed movie was filmed in the middle of their groves at the corner of Whitley Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard [1]. In the decades that followed, Hollywood became known as Tinseltown and the "dream factory" because of the glittering image of the movie industry.

A noon chart for October 26, 1911, which can be used as the basis for Hollywood’s horoscope, is shown here. Notice that Neptune along with TNPs Cupido-Zeus forms a T-square with the Sun and the nodal axis. In his essay, Hollywood and the Neptune Factor, Ra Rishikavi Raghudas writes:

We sit in the darkness with great anticipation. Suddenly, a stream of ethereal light creates moving pictures on a screen before us, and we are enchanted. Welcome to the realm of Neptune! In modern astrology, everything that belongs to the boundless, the unfettered, the selfless--is said to belong to Neptune’s realm. Neptune is the God principle and the creative Muse--that elusive thing we call magic. This profound energy is deeply embedded in the human heart, which flees from the ordinary, and seeks to dream. And for that purpose--we have the cinema. Film is considered highly Neptunian. Movies are magic. The projector sends forth a dancing beam of light reflected upon a “silver screen”...an ethereal image projected into outward reality. Watching a movie, we fill ourselves with images sent forth from the invisible ethers. https://www.astro.com/astrology/ivccn_article200722_e.htm

The other prominent aspect to Neptune is an opposition from Uranus. The opposition harks back to the conjunction of 1821. It was the year Michael Faraday invented the electric motor, that would later become the basic technology behind the motion picture.

The Uranus-Neptune hard aspect to the nodal axis implies an affliction where a technology driven (Uranus) utopian dream (Neptune) sweeps the masses into situations where the bottom falls out as soon as reality hits. The dream may have been an ungrounded belief in an industry which ultimately proves to be less worthy than anticipated.

With Pluto now transiting over Uranus and opposite Neptune in the Hollywood chart the time for a reality check has come. Pluto's passage through sidereal Sagittarius becomes an opener and revealer of a greater truth. It opens the way for this greater truth to emerge by dismantling the false beliefs and structures of consciousness that obscure it.

The author of the article above writes:

But, production creatures want more than money, they also want to micromanage the message of every film, TV show, video game and product that is released. They want to inject their own ideologies into every property. They do this because, as narcopaths, they desperately want to feel creative power even if it means hijacking the projects of others. They also do it because they have an agenda to influence society to accept or reject certain ideas; they want to mold the politics and values of the public.

In its lower expression, Pluto is about hidden agendas meant to control others, while Neptune often shows up as gullibility and an inability to discriminate right from wrong. However, in its positive expression, an opposition between transit Pluto to radix Neptune can be a time of waking up to the truth.
