Some manifestations of the October New Moon

  

According to AFP, former French president Nicolas Sarkozy was indicted for "criminal association" in the ongoing investigation into suspicions of receiving Libyan money for his presidential campaign in 2007. Token acceptance of “getting away with whatever you can” has long been a factor of everyday life and of “business as usual”. This philosophy is readily evident in corporate and political worlds ruled by the sign Capricorn. However, Pluto’s stripping away process is programmed to destroy Capricorn’s false walls. The transit serves to expose the corrupt workings of the system  and the corrupt individuals, organizations, corporations, etc., who have learned to use the system to their self-serving advantage. 

When that which Capricorn has held in check, (i.e. that which it has regulated, contained, guarded, inhibited, suppressed, or resisted) is released, it is done with great force. It can be radically so when Mars in Aries squares destructive Pluto in Capricorn. Paradoxically, Pluto can be transformative, leading to the restoration of balance through excessive imbalance, the need to push the envelope to extremes, to the point of collapse. 

The Oct.16 New Moon forming a T-square with Mars-Pluto-Saturn is releasing the formidable, eruptive, disruptive, and explosive energy of this combination. As Mars in its retrograde phase squares Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto repeatedly it brings up incidents linked to the use and abuse of power. This is one of the major themes of the Saturn–Pluto conjunction in Capricorn, and it is now being challenged by the squares from Mars. Anything that is weak, decayed, damaged, or corrupt is likely to explode or implode with immense impact. 

Astrologer Grant Lewi, decades ago began to speak of Saturn as “the cosmic paycheck”. His implication was that under passing Saturn symbolism, we all "get what we deserve". This is why under Saturn-Pluto  we  can have  extremes e.g. a potential karmic retribution and fall from grace of the corrupt while at the same time empowerment of those who pass the test of integrity. 

Presented here are three charts (a) Sarkozy’s [1] lunar return (b) Joe Biden’s [2] lunar return and (c) the New Moon chart at Tehran, Iran. Notice that in all cases the Mars-Saturn-Pluto combination is aligned the angles and activated by the New Moon. Sarkozy and Biden cases represent karmic retribution and fall from grace of the corrupt while Iran having complied with the JCPOA (Nuclear deal) is out of the woods with the UN’s arms embargo effectively expiring on October 18 just two days after the New Moon.

Unlike the Biden’s bomb of corruption that exploded in the US, an actual decaying  WWII era bomb exploded during attempts to defuse it.  Notice the metaphorical connection. The chart for the exact Sun-Pluto square on Oct. 15 has the Mars-Saturn-Pluto-Sun-TNP Zeus T-square aligned with the meridian at Warsaw, Poland.
