November began with Mercury stationing direct square Saturn. On Nov.3 it was reported that the pipe burst took place at 6 am. A chart drawn for this time at Atlanta is very significant. It has Mercury on the Ascendant square Saturn-Pluto on the IC. In a previous post Some manifestations of Mercury-Saturn square [1], I wrote about how Mercury in mythology was regarded as a trickster.
While still a baby, he (Mercury) stole his half-brother Apollo’s sacred herd of 50 cattle from Pieria, cleverly reversing their hoofmarks by adding bark shoes to make it difficult to follow their tracks. Hermes, therefore, became associated with thieves and he managed to keep the stolen herd until the satyrs finally discovered it in a cave in Arcadia.
The combination of Saturn-Pluto (linked to eruptions or all kinds of bursts/releases) is on the 4th house cusp. Deborah Houlding on her website writes:
4th House in Mundane Astrology
Supplies that feed the nation from beneath the earth - such as the pipes
of the water or gas industry.

Notice that this is also the position of Saturn-Pluto in the chart for the upcoming Lunar Eclipse at Atlanta.
In conclusion we may say, that this was clearly a case of Mercury the Trickster at work!
