Delhi earthquake

Earthquake of magnitude 2.3 on the Richter scale hit Nangloi in Delhi at 5:02 am today, according to India's National Center for Seismology. There was no immediate report of any damage to life or property.

With Mars making its last pass square to Saturn-Pluto, it is likely to express as justified anger against the powers that have held us back . In some cases we may have internalized those external powers to our detriment  and are finally waking up. The following extract from a previous post is relevant here:

Saturn, is the archetype of authority and in its darkest face, what astrologer Steven Forrest calls the "crushing patriarch." Both Capricorn and Saturn symbolize systems and structures which seek to preserve their dominance at any cost.  Pluto, as Lord of the underworld, always brings shadow material to the surface.  Its conjunction to Saturn serves  to draw back the curtain until the flaws, failings, and destructiveness of the system become  obvious…Where defiance and rage have not been a part of our repertoire in dealing with power and authority, then this Saturn transit allows us the transformative option of bringing more of our Pluto potential into a concrete, workable form (e.g. the farmers’ movement in India against oppressive new rules). We get to manifest some of what has been typically kept under wraps because of hidden fears, internal taboos, shame, intimidation or ignorance of our potential.

Regular readers will be aware that a variety of mundane charts e.g. those of moon phases, ingresses, planetary aspects and stations etc. can bring important configurations to the angles. Those configurations then are very significant for the place.

Here is the chart for the Waxing Gibbous Moon of December 26 at Delhi. Notice the Mars-Saturn-Pluto square straddling the horizon. All that we wrote above applies to Delhi. And indeed news reports tell us that the farmers are getting ready to enter Delhi for the final battle.  Don’t forget to notice that the asteroid Ceres (ruling food grains and by association the farmers who produce them) is right at the midpoint of the Mars-Pluto square.

Curiously, as an earthquake strikes Delhi in the early hours of Dec. 25 at 5:02 am, the asteroid Ceres is placed on the IC making hard aspects to Mars-Pluto. Can the message clearer? Moreover, the Gibbous Moon is conjunct the midpoint of Uranus and TNP Admetus about which Martha Wescott writes:

Uranus/Admetus: changes and tension “at the core” (of the earth (quake?), of the foundation, of the person (farmers?)) internal “shaking” and sudden cramping; eruption of long held tension or frustration.

Not convinced? OK just look at India’s upcoming lunar return chart. Notice once again the prominent position of Mars-Pluto-Saturn on the angles!

Symbolically, the asteroid Ceres describes how we nurture ourselves and others  (e.g. children) who depend on us. When Ceres is uncomfortable by aspect, the nurturing is perceived as inadequate or problematic.  In hard aspect in relevant charts, Ceres introduces events and changes between mothers/ nurturers and children and it also shows what is affecting our nurturing response, a willingness to “look after or take care of” another – how one responds to the demand for nurturance. We certainly know how the Indian farmers are feeling in their role as nurturers!
