Mount Etna erupts
Mt
Etna has erupted in Sicily, Italy with 100 metre-high lava fountains. The South
East crater began erupting at 9.20pm on Sunday (local time, 9.20am Monday NZT),
according to volcanodiscovery.com. The website estimated lava from the volcano
was reaching heights of more than 100m, while red lava and plumes of smoke was
filmed from a distance by an observer. The eruption was classified as a
strombolian activity, which is when a volcano erupts causing a shower of lava
fragments, according to GNS Science.

In his book Mundane or National Astrology , H.S. Green in
the chapter on “Earthquakes” writes:
Earthquakes are found
to be associated with eclipses and important planetary conjunctions and
oppositions. An eclipse is always liable to cause seismic disturbances where it
is visible, especially if it falls very close to the line of horizon i.e. the
cusps of the first and seventh houses, or of the meridian i.e. the cusps of the
tenth and fourth houses. Of these two lines, that of the meridian is more
important; and that of the lower meridian i.e. the cusp of the fourth house is
the most important of all. H.S.Green, Mundane or National Astrology
This applies not only to earthquakes but also to volcanic activity which is a special form of earthquakes. Here is the chart for the November 30, lunar eclipse drawn for the co-ordinates of the volcano. Notice that it eclipse aligns perfectly with the meridian axis fulfilling the condition mentioned by H.S. Green.
A further confirmation comes from the chart for the exact time of the eruption. Notice that the meridian axis aligns with the lunar eclipse axis triggered by the transit Moon.
Also it is important to remember that eclipses are often triggered at New Moons or Full Moons just before or after the eclipse. In this case the New Moon (total Solar Eclipse of Dec. 14) became the trigger (working in sync with the lunar eclipse?)
In passing, let us recall that the eclipse axis was aligned with the horizon at the eruption of the Lewotolo Volcano on Nov. 28 [1] .
Let us understand that the news is just one example of a much deeper principle that is currently at work through the current Saturn-Pluto conjunction (highlighted by the lunar eclipse by a hard aspect). The following extract from an earlier post outlines the principle.
Saturn represents social structures and
institutions as well as the restraining
control of traditional authority to maintain the status quo. Saturn is
conservative and cautious—the “order” side of law-and-order, By contrast, Pluto
represents total transformation, the urge for complete change that bubbles away
in the collective and wells up from time to time in the cultural equivalents of
earthquakes, tidal waves, and volcanic eruptions. To get rid of the old and
make way for the new, Pluto is extreme and cathartic. This is purging in
profound endings and beginnings—death and rebirth.
