Mystery illness in India

Eluru – Hand woven carpets

 At least 300 persons –– including several children, some as young as 4 years old –– have taken ill in Eluru in West Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh since Saturday evening. While officials initially suspected contaminated drinking water or air pollution to be the cause, both were ruled out by Sunday evening. Eclipses are known to produce dramatic effects in places where they make hard aspects to the angles. The effect is even more pronounced if significant planetary combinations also appear on the angles. Shown here is the chart for the Nov. 30 lunar eclipse drawn for Eluru.

 Notice that the MC is conjunct Saturn, Pluto and the asteroid Asclepius linked to illness.  So clearly the eclipse is highlighting some radical health issues at Eluru. In a previous post [1], we have seen that the degrees occupied by Saturn-Pluto have been linked to epidemics.

But how do we explain the fact that the chart could have easily applied to places close by.  Quite often, in some mysterious way, other elements of the chart can identify a place as being in the cross-hairs of the eclipse. How so? The asteroid Arachne being square the MC is part of the planetary combination.

It is seldom that a significant event is shown by just one mundane horoscope. Here is the chart for the last quarter Moon of Dec. 8, just three days after the strange illness was discovered. Notice that the Moon on the MC is in Virgo – a sign linked to health issues. It is opposite Neptune – a planet astrologers link to things mysterious and also to loss of consciousness.

 Neptune  in Roman mythology was  a god of springs, lakes, and rivers before becoming also a god of the sea. In astrology hard aspects to Neptune have often been traced to water contamination.

 But more interesting on the descendant of the chart and opposite the Sun [16sa] is the asteroid Psyche [15ge] linked to mental health issues.
