Tragedy accompanies unhealthy boundaries in mother-child relationship

Mother rejecting child

A Vernal mother was charged Friday with shooting and killing her 2-year-old son while he was sitting in his car seat. Valerie Stringham Peck, 40, is charged in Uintah County's 8th District Court with aggravated murder, a first-degree felony, and child abuse, a second-degree felony. https://bit.ly/3nCDUmP

Tragic incidents like these are symbolic windows into serious social problems that can  be apprehended only through a metaphoric mode of consciousness and astrology can provide a great framework for an indepth understanding of the issues involved.

Mundane astrologers frequently cast the exact horoscope of ingresses, eclipses, great conjunctions etc. We are now on the threshold of the much awaited Jupiter-Saturn conjunction.

Astronomical Myth is a "picture language," imagery that articulates the qualities of cosmic intelligence expressing throughout the greater heavens and through our lives.  The Jupiter-Saturn conjunction [0aq29] aligns with Altair, Alpha Aquila, eye of the eagle. According to legend an oracle consulted by the Roman Emperor Hadrian said that only the death of that which the emperor most loved would avert a dangerous threat to the emperor’s life. This appears to imply that someone must die if you wish to live.

A chart for the conjunction at Vernal, Utah is presented here.

 Notice the asteroid Ceres on the Ascendant conjunct Neptune which forms a T-square with the nodes on the meridian. So essentially we have a Pisces-Gemini-Sagittarius T-square brought to our attention.

A Gemini-Pisces square can be experienced as a struggle between the objective reality of the outer world and the inner reality of one’s own feelings and experience. Chronic psychosomatic health issues, feelings of doom and depression can arise. Pisces, the last sign of the zodiac, represents the stage where the world utterly dominated by unexamined beliefs and forced social morality or behavior patterns  is breaking down under the weight of its crystallizations. It as an era of storms and of wholesale disintegration. Sagittarius is the realm of generalizations, of religion and philosophy, of abstraction and metaphysics. A square between Sagg. and Pisces often leads to feeling trapped by belief systems that we now need to outgrow.

CERES: The need for nurturing; food; the relationship between mother & child; issues of “taking care of” people, plants and animals; growths/cysts; herbs and grains [1].

Ceres = 8Pi57 conjunct the Mars-Pluto midpoint [8Pi32]

For Ebertin:

Mars-Pluto: the tendency to proceed in a brutal manner, the misfortune of having to suffer (or inflict?) violent assaults or injuries.

But as always there is never just one indicator. Often the stars that conjoin the planets involved give us another confirmation of the cosmic message.

Here the N.Node (the way forward) is amid the stars of Auriga. More specifically it is conjunct Hoedus II.

Eta (η) Auriga, Hoedus 11, is one of the Haedi, Kid Goats, a star on the left arm of the Charioteer. Zeta (ζ Hoedus 1) and Eta (η Hoedus 11) Auriga are called "the Haedi", "the Kids". Haedi, or Hyades, is the Latin plural for kid goats; haedus the singular. These two stars represent the kid goats in Auriga that their mother, the nanny goat Amalthea who is identified with Capella, put aside in order to the nurse the baby Jupiter/Jove/Zeus. [2]

About Capella and the adjoining stars, Nick Fiorenza writes:

Inspire execution of ventures, and strategies, those that support our physical well-being and sustenance. They produce an energetic of ambition, adventure, courage and conviction, endurance, even an individualistic ferocity. It is an energetic of those with defiant purpose and headstrong desire for solution.

Is Capella – “the mother goat” leaving her kids in search of a better life for herself? In the news story, the mother killed her 2 yr old son. The N.Node is conjunct the asteroid Psyche and Ophelia. Mental health issues or trauma (Psyche) can cause a person to overreact (Ophelia) [1].

The moral of the story is that mothering or nurturing needs boundaries for the good of the mother or nurturer. Unless heeded tragic incidents are likely to occur.
