A national horoscope can be a source of a wealth of information both about the character of its people and the trials and tribulations that they must go through. As in a chart of an individual so also in the chart of nation, solar progressions especially those involving the luminaries are of utmost importance as they symbolize major fundamental transitions – a step function jump of sorts – that appear after long periods of relatively small changes.
Currently, Israel’s [1] progressed solar arc Sun [3le28] is conjunct the radix Moon [4le30]. In his book, The Progressed Horoscope, Alan Leo delineates “Prog. Sun conjunct Moon” :

Since the 4th house in natal astrology represents the residence and family, here in Israel’s national chart it stands for the common land that the two communities share as “family members”.

demands return to the past and a confrontation with one’s history.
But finally there could be a silver lining in the cloud. The Sabian symbol of Hades is:
