Mercury-Neptune Eclipse: Seeing through the Veil

At birth, our minds are like blank sponges ready to absorb new information. Then, as we grow up, we may start to let some of what we’ve learned mess with how we take on new information. This is known as cognitive bias, and it causes us to create our own subjective reality in which we may be ignoring rationality and fact. May 11, https://bit.ly/3xh6Bdp

Creative people are known to give voice to the prevailing planetary configurations. Alice Kelly penned the article, on common type of bias, under the influence  of the  Mercury-Neptune solar eclipse of June 10 (in the 12th house of the unconscious)  that was prominently aligned with the meridian at Brooklyn, NY where she lives.

“Cognitive biases are systematic errors in the thinking process that alter how we interpret information and make decisions… Unless someone has the opportunity to notice the biases of their programming, they may not be conscious of them. This limits their access to the truth by keeping them in a small bubble of false information”.

Astrologer Patrick Watson explains how Mercury-Neptune interact:

In astrology, Mercury is the messenger planet of logic and rationality, neutrality and impartiality. Neptune is the planet of subjective illusions.  Together, their interaction tracks the departures from accuracy and reality. This cycle is associated with impracticality, delusions, myth-making, tall tales, unreliable narrators, media propaganda, conspiracy theories, distractions, frauds, hoaxes, absurdism, surrealism, nonsense, inspiring or deceptive language.
