More than half a million hermit crabs in the Indian and Pacific Oceans are dying because they mistake plastic waste for a home, according to a study published in the Journal of Hazardous Materials. Australian and British researchers found that around 508,000 hermit crabs have died taking shelter inside plastic waste on Cocos (Keeling) Island, an Australian territory in the Indian Ocean. The researchers noted that the island was “drowning” in around 414 million pieces of plastic. 23 July https://science.news/2021-07-23-hermit-crabs-killed-by-plastic-waste.html
The
Cocos (Keeling) Islands (Coordinates: 12°07′03″S
96°53′42″E) is an Australian external territory in the Indian Ocean, comprising
a small archipelago approximately midway between Australia and Sri Lanka and
relatively close to the Indonesian island of Sumatra.
Shown
here is the chart for the Cancer ingress of the Sun on June 21 drawn for the
coordinates of Cocos Islands. The table
below gives the position of the planets, asteroids and TNPs in a 90 degree
sort not all of which are shown in the chart.

CUPIDO: home, residence or household themes [1]
ORPHEUS: contact with death
[1]
Among
keywords given by Alfred Witte for the TNP Hades are “junk; waste material; filth; misfortune”.
There
are several possibilities for combining CUPIDO-HADES-ORPHEUS but the one
relevant to the news would be “Junk or
waste material used as a home becomes the cause of death”. And of course with the Sun in Cancer, crabs are
implicated (coincidence?).
In
his essay on Hades [2], Blake Finley writes:
Like Neptune, Hades also
seems to point to our blind spots and vulnerabilities (which are resolved by
striving toward increasing consciousness of our lives and surrounding
realities... the vulnerabilities are often due to our very lack of
consciousness, or ignorance of the more subtle realities) when functioning with
grossly materialistic considerations…..Because many subtle and metaphysical
realities are not always sufficiently included in our socioculturually
programmed everyday belief systems and paradigms, we sometimes deal with highly
problematic or even disastrous issues with either Neptune or Hades,
depending again on how consciously we empathize with people, situations,
things, and other living beings (including animals) in our environs, and to
what degree when understand the realities of the underlying, and not always
obvious, chemistry of the realities we encounter. Some cultures seem to be more conscious of
these considerations, and these are often the more nature-focused and less
crassly materialistic cultures.
Next we look at the TNO Quaoar which is also part of the configuration. Not much is known about this TNO, but the
following extract from Nick Fiorenza is an initial assessment which appears to
quite appropriate in our present context.
Quaoar would seem to have
character supporting a "harmonious revolution"— to help us release
and surrender to the natural order of the creative forces governing life and
death. in addition, Quaoar would inspire our return to the "sacredness of
life"; to realize all things in life are sacred and that it is our
responsibility to have respect for natural order and to live in harmony with
nature; without this we do not have respect for ourselves.
Finally
if we progress the Cancer ingress to July 23, the date of the news item, notice
that the Sun-Hades-Cupido T-square aligns with the meridian implying that its
message is focused through an event in
the Cocos Islands
