France
said it had been betrayed by the U.S. after being pushed out of a
multibillion-dollar deal to supply submarines to Australia, in a public rupture
between NATO allies that is shaping up to be among the most bitter
trans-Atlantic disputes of the Biden administration’s first year. French
Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian on Thursday called the U.S.-backed deal a “stab
in the back.” President Biden on Wednesday announced a new security pact with
Australia and the U.K. that would include a long-term agreement to build
nuclear-powered submarines for Australia. Australia on Thursday confirmed it
was withdrawing from the French contract. https://on.wsj.com/3luakAd
In this post we shall see how the analysis of national charts can provide clues to the changing relationship between nations. The Ascendant of Australia’s chart[1] (relocated to Canberra) is [25ar] . In the chart of France [2] we notice the TNP Admetus [25ar] –Black Moon Lilith [25 ar] – Nodes [22ar] align with the horizon axis. More specifically the descendant (cusp of 7th house) refers to “treaties and agreements with other nations” [3]. What does the Black Moon Lilith [25ar] or the Mean Apogee of the Moon signify in astrology?
Denial and where you
have been denied in your life is the core of what she represents…The Black Moon’s
placement will also reveal where hardship seems to find you unknowingly and
where a secret enemy could always be lurking. https://crystalbastrology.com/black-moon-lilith/
The next question is “why now?”.
Pluto is currently stationary and about to go direct on Oct. 6 at [24cp]. This then is the major transit affecting both the national charts. Specifically transit Pluto squares the horizon axis of both charts and the TNP Admetus – Black Moon in France’s chart
In her book The Orders
of Light, Martha Wescott provides the following interpretation for
Admetus-Pluto:
Admetus-Pluto: to
resist pressures and attempts to dominate or manipulate; to recognize what can
no longer be endured – and to deal with the accrued consequences of having
pushed the self too far; having delayed elimination of intolerable problems,
one faces confrontation (with self/others) and experiences a need for return to
integrity – a need to know where one stands (and then to decide if one is
willing to stand there!)
Steven Forrest delineates transit Pluto square the horizon
(Ascendant-Descendant) axis as below:
This transit
challenges you to reveal who you really are and what you really want. It is a
season of “unmasking”. Some false note has crept into your external, presented
self. It may be an old lie, told for safety or convenience, that is now being
unravelled. It may be that you’ve changed inwardly to the point that your old
self is simply running on momentum…and the situation is becoming untenable.
Should you make a weak response your behaviour will oscillate between numbness
and apathy on the one hand and touchy defiance on the other. As your response
evolves there may be a tendency towards brutal solutions. You may “nuke” a
long-standing relationship. While we must recognize the virtue of working hard
on relationships and sticking with them, we must also accept that sometimes
alliances that have been meaningful and alive come to pieces where they are no
longer consistent with who we are: a distinctly Plutonian truth .
