Once in a while a lunation will occur exactly on the angles at a place giving astrologers a much needed opportunity to understand its meaning in the light of events. The New Moon of Nov.6 took place exactly on the meridian at Moscow. It was part of a T-square involving Saturn-Uranus and the TNP Poseidon.

The Saturn-Uranus 45-year cycle  which began in 1988 is one about introducing new progressive thought, technological innovation, and radical change into society's status quo and into society's established structures. Saturn in its diminished expression can be controlling, wanting to own others and dictate behavior for them. It can be oppressive, righteous and jealous; fearful of casual intimacy, touching and embracing, which instead must be controlled. Uranus impels us to break from the conformity of the past. It is radical, spontaneous, and electrical and supports the expression of our uniqueness and originality.

When traditional and structural Saturn and rebel and freedom-seeking Uranus clash, we experience the disruption of lightning striking the walls of our security. Rebels storm the gates of authorities. Protests demand reforms and systemic change.

Martha Wescott  provides the following key phrases for  the TNP Poseidon

POSEIDON: ideological or moral stances; ethics; religion

So we can see that the conflict between Saturn and Uranus is essentially about morals, ethics and religion.

The Sabian symbol for Poseidon adds further clarity on the issue.

Scorpio 15 (14° - 15°): Children playing around five mounds of sand

A child does not concern itself with philosophy or morality overmuch; it plays. As we reach further into the disturbing complexities of fulfilling personal ambitions and social responsibilities, we would do well from time to time to remember who we really are and what we really love to do. Being true to ourselves is paramount in all things, and a child has no need to be reminded of this self-evident aspect of living free. To live a life without much profound purpose, punctuated by a frequency of inept responses to what occurs, is soul-destroying and symptomatic of someone who has lost their sense of joie de vivre.
