Charts for the phases of the Moon are among the most reliable indicators of events on earth. This is especially so at places where they align with or bring significant planetary aspects to the horizon or meridian. A New Moon or Full Moon can act as a local “step down transformer” for powerful energies generated by far away stars and planets that it aspects.

The chart for the Full Moon of Jan.18 drawn for the Savoie region of France where the accident took place has the powerful Pluto Full Moon aligned very significantly with the meridian. Pluto rules the hidden or unconscious energies. When activated, it causes a purgatorial discharge of pent-up energies--from the Earth as in an earthquake (Tonga), or from the human body and psyche as in a psychotic breakdown that can cause accidents.

More specifically, the Moon on the MC is conjunct the stars Procyon, alpha Canis Minoris and Chi Geminorum in Pollux’s head. Procyon is known to cause accidents because of rashness or poor judgement and stars in Pollux’s head can indicate injuries to the head.
