The Jupiter-Neptune conjunction

The Aries New Moon on 1 April 2022 involves the tension of two diametrically opposed astrological themes: Mars uniting with Saturn versus Jupiter uniting with Neptune.

Mars and Saturn can involve the harshest aspects of strife and suffering we must face in reality. There are constructive ways to work with Mars and Saturn combined together, yet cyclic renewal of Mars and Saturn typically involves brutal collective events such as the present war in Ukraine. On the other hand Jupiter-Neptune is all about compassion as well as overcoming belief systems that may have kept us down and out.

For readers who may be unaware, a powerful outer planet conjunction can be felt in at least the following ways:

(a) The conjunction can fall on an element of a chart (radix or directed).

(b) It can appear on the angles of a derived chart e.g. a solar or a lunar return.

(c) In mundane charts e.g. eclipses, ingresses, moon phases ect, it can be be significantly placed, aspecting some element or can be brought to the angles bringing its essence to bear at that place.

To begin with here is the map for the New Moon of 1 April 2022 at Moscow. Notice the placement of the Mars-Saturn conjunction on the MC indicating the ongoing war initiated by Russia.

Next let us turn our attention to the upcoming Jupiter-Neptune conjunction about which astrologer Gray Crawford writes:

The conjunction between Jupiter and Neptune will take place on April 12, 2022 at twenty-four degrees of Pisces. The combination of Jupiter and Neptune in Pisces will necessitate a descent into the dissolution of our previous beliefs, embodying the essence that will eventually coagulate out of the disintegrating stirring of our inner life. As a result, the disorientation and disillusionment that can occur under the influence of Jupiter and Neptune must be kept in mind while also remembering their capacity for fostering hopes and aspirations that go beyond the conditioning of past identities and beliefs. Dane Rudhyar wrote that a key issue with Jupiter is the tendency for people to seek success through conformity with the expectations and rules of the present power structures, whereas the influence of Neptune may render a future form we may seek which transcends the problematic and oppressive aspects of the dominant cultures we live within.

Readers are encouraged to think of examples both in their own lives as well as in world events. I can think of a few. The are presented with astrocartography or return maps where relevant.

Here is the astrocartography map for the solar eclipse of April 30th. Notice the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction lines passing close to Washington DC. Moreover, with radix Neptune at [23vi], the US Sibly is receiving an opposition from the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction [23pi]. In a previous post [1], I wrote:

Putin’s (b. Oct.7, 1952) current solar arc progressed [1] Sun is at [22sag] completing a T-square with the US Sibly Neptune [22Virgo] and Mars [22gem]. In a natal/ radix chart, Neptune-Mars can describe the ideal or illusion or fantasy (Neptune) of strength and potency (Mars). ...With transit Neptune [22pi] now forming an opposition to the Sibly Neptune [22vi], the above mentioned direction is triggered. Notice the delusional reports in the US media. The US media, think tanks etc., are so desperate to believe their version of the outcome of the Ukraine war that they are seeing things which have no basis in reality.

The second example is the current lunar return for the Ukraine horoscope. Notice the Jupiter- Neptune conjunction on the descendant. And don’t forget to notice that the Ascendant [23vi] is exactly conjunct the US Sibly Neptune (and Ukraine's radix Mars). So who is goading Ukraine into a false sense of victory?

The third example is from India. The horoscope of India’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi (b. 17 Sep. 1950) has the radix Sun [23vi] - Saturn [22vi] receiving an opposition from the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction. For a while Jupiter-Neptune can lead us astray through illusion, escapism, and intoxication, influencing us to be unfocused on mundane responsibilities till reality strikes.

The fourth example is the astrocartography map for the lunar eclipse of May 16. Jupiter-Neptune on the IC lines pass through western US e.g. San Francisco while the descendant lines pass through Australia’s Melbourne, Sydney and surrounding regions. Watch for news from these areas!

PS:

Are these conjunctions affecting India? @EnggMainR

Oh yes! The PM’s chart is India’s chart during his tenure and I mentioned that Jup-Nep[23pi] opposes his radix Sun [23vi] which is conjunct stars Alkaid and Zavijava.

The Arabic name for Benetnash is Alkaid, which means "the leader," perhaps alluding to its tendency to produce self-proclaimed leaders. Conjoining Benetnash is Zavijava, beta (β) Virgo. Zavijava is of a passive and submissive character, articulating the blind and naïve followers of the leader. These are most often innocent naive unquestioning people who get swayed by the diversionary dramatics of their manipulative leaders and believe in the miss-information they are being fed.

If Jupiter-Neptune is about disorientation and disillusionment leading to the dissolution of our previous beliefs, India is potentially primed for change! https://bit.ly/3xgFrGS

Incidentally the conjunction is also on Pakistan’s radix Ascendant [29vi] but it appears that Pakistanis may continue to follow their corrupt leaders like the Sharifs and the Bhuttos after ditching Imran Khan today. So the potential for change can remain just that...a potential. The incumbent PM Shahbaz Sharif born 23 September 1951 and the Chief ustice Umar Ata Bandial born 17 September 1958 have their radix Sun at [29vi] and [23vi] respectively. Both these are conjunct Pakistan’s radix Ascendant [29vi] amid the stars Alkaid and Zavijava. Can that be a coincidence?

So as I have mentioned before on our planet of free will no one can predict the outcome when we meet a fork in the road. If we are asleep, it is more likely we continue with past patterns of behavior. Only if we are awake, we will seize such moments which offer a bright new future.
