Will Japan remain a US vassal?

Andromeda and Cetus

Today I want to talk about Japan as a US satellite state and what US hegemony means for the situation in Japan, the Japanese economy, culture and language...The US burned Tokyo to the ground during World War II and dropped atomic bombs on Nagasaki and Hiroshima. Since then, Japan has been a vassal of the world power USA, and had lived so relatively well because: important colony in Asia. http://thesaker.is/brutal-the-truth-about-japan-from-tokyo-university/

A study of a national chart can help understand the problems with which the nation struggles and especially if it has been a colony like Japan. The horoscope of postwar Japan as provided by Nick Campion [1] is reproduced here.

As in any analysis, the position of the Sun and the aspects it receives is a great way to start. Here the Sun is conjunct the stars Almach of Andromeda and Menkar of Cetus. Readers unfamiliar with the story can read it up here [2]. For our purpose, it is sufficient to know that Andromeda was an innocent princess who had to suffer on account of the sins of her parents. Apparently only Andromeda’s sacrifice would appease the gods, so she was chained to a rock and left to be devoured by the monster Cetus. Almach is princess Andromeda's snagged foot about to be bitten off by conjoining Menkar, the jaws of Cetus. (see image).

Notice how elegantly, the story of Andromeda describes the condition of post war generation in Japan.

Next we notice that the Sun is square Pluto. About this aspect astrologer Hiroki Niizato [3] writes:

Sun Pluto aspect has to do with uncovering massive potential hidden within the core of a matter…Or the core within yourself. How can you apply this idea in your life? Here are a few thoughts that may help you understand and apply the energy of Sun Pluto aspect:1) Uncover the core ideas that empower you.

And what might this entail for Japan with its Saturn/Zeus midpoint conjunct Pluto and square the Sun? For Saturn/Zeus, Martha Wescott writes:

Saturn/Zeus

You'll also be aware of people who have been disciplined for being angry or enthusiastic--they come to expect that whenever they're excited about something, someone will come along to "rain on their parade;" they come to expect that someone else will stand in judgment, or attempt to "stifle" them (so their ability to complete things, to cooperate and to remain enthused suffer.) ...You may recognize that people who are big on rules and "what other people will think" can find it hard to express themselves freely--they've always got "a lid" on themselves .

From an astrologer’s point of view, the most signifcant transit in Japan’s chart is Pluto going over the Ascendant. About this transit, Steven Forrest writes:

This transit challenges you to reveal who you really are and what you really want. It is a season of “unmasking”. Some false note has crept into your external, presented self. It may be an old lie, told for safety or convenience, that is now being unravelled. It may be that you’ve changed inwardly to the point that your old self is simply running on momentum…and the situation is becoming untenable. Should you make a weak response your behaviour will oscillate between numbness and apathy on the one hand and touchy defiance on the other. As your response evolves there may be a tendency towards brutal solutions. You may “nuke” a long-standing relationship. While we must recognize the virtue of working hard on relationships and sticking with them, we must also accept that sometimes alliances that have been meaningful and alive come to pieces where they are no longer consistent with who we are: a distinctly Plutonian truth. [4]

Will Japan remain a US vassal state or will it break free? This is something that no astrologer can predict.
