The asteroid 79360, Sila-Nunam, is a double system in the Kuiper Belt--two asteroids of almost equal siz--classified with the cubewanos. It was discovered on February 3, 1997 by Jane X. Luu, David C. Jewitt, Chadwick A. Trujillo and Jun Chen at Mauna Kea. It has a period of 292 years, 41 days.Jonathan Dunn associates Sila-Nunam astrologically with serene acceptance and easy-going decadence; ability to take 'the long view', good listener, "letting things just wash over you." [1]
In my opinion, the purpose of Sila-Nunam is to brings to our awareness subtle and metaphysical realities currently looked upon as evil or decadent and not always sufficiently included in our socioculturually programmed everyday belief systems and paradigms. Some cultures seem to be more conscious of these considerations, and these are often the more nature-focused and less crassly materialistic cultures.
This does not mean that the energies and issues of Sila-Nunam are inherently primitive, but they appear crude to cultures that shut such issues and energies out, remain in denial of them, or push them aside as "inferior" or "primitive" issues or behavior. Sila Nunam forces us to face the most intensely and emotionally overwhelming, primal experiences and at the same time remain emotionally calm, centered, non-judgmental, and as objective as possible, staring into the face of the most discomforting realities. It will bring out to be seen that which has been suppressed, oppressed, hidden, in the closet, but destined to be seen.

(a) Currently Saturn [25aq] is opposite Sila Nunam approx. [25le] and therefore completes a Grand Cross with the May 16th lunar eclipse [26sc] which fell on the horizon at London. Think Boris Johnson and the UK Partygate scandal.
(b) Boris Johnson’s natal Sila-Nunam [13ge] was activated by the 4th December 2021 solar eclipse [12sa] which fell very significantly on the horizon at London.
