Lithuania and the Kaliningrad blockade

The German government is irritated by Lithuania’s transit blockade of sanctioned goods from mainland Russia to its exclave, Kaliningrad, Der Spiegel magazine has reported. Since mid-June, the Baltic nation has been refusing to let items on the EU sanctions list pass through its territory. Moscow, in turn, has threatened retaliation.

On June 18, European Union member Lithuania prohibited the transit of all goods subject to EU sanctions imposed on Russia for its invasion of Ukraine via the rail link. That includes coal, metals, electronics, and construction materials. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/russia-lithuania-nato-kaliningrad-rail-link-threat/

In a previous post Russia Demands Lithuania Lift "Openly Hostile" Blockade [1], we discussed the blockade as a result of the activation of the May 16th lunar eclipse. Here we look at the solar return chart of the DRC (Davison Relationship Chart) [2] for Russia[3] and Lithuania [4].

The most prominent configuration aligned with the angles is Mercury (transportation)-Pluto (devious manipulation/ powerplays) completing a T-square with Eris (discord)-TNP Zeus (anger, tension) aligned with the horizon. Two centaurs Amycus [26cp] and Elatus [27li] which are also part of the T-square provide interesting details. The transting Mars [27ar]-Pluto [27cp] which symbolizes assertive anger amid power struggles has aligned with the combination thereby triggering it.

Amycus shows by which specific means or tactics one tries to gain or establish power. This can be either a formidable or unscrupulous striving for power or the personal power experience in relation to territorial boundaries. [5]

Elatus: Chamelons; playing the smooth operator as the expression of one’s survival mechanism. [5]

Although the EU does not want sanctions to be imposed by Lithuania and is willing to grant it exception, Lithuania, playing the chamelon and bowing down to US pressure is blatantly going against EU’s attempts to defuse the situation.

“Sanctions must be enforced. No excuse should undermine the credibility and effectiveness of EU sanctions policy,” a spokesperson for the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry said recently.

With Lithuania being a NATO member, that scenario would mean a direct conflict between the military alliance and Russia, a possibility that EU members, especially Germany, are keen to avoid.
