Transits to the horoscope of The Republic of China (Taiwan).
07 December 1949, the Republic of China relocated to Taiwan after being defeated by the communists on mainland China. Solar Eclipse conjunct South Node 35′ square Uranus 37′.
23 August 1958, the Second Taiwan Strait Crisis. The US actively engaged China and threatened nuclear attack if it invaded Taiwan. Solar Eclipse conjunct South Node 15′ square Uranus 19′
25 October 1971, the UN expelled Taiwan (Republic of China) and admitted the People’s Republic of China. Solar Eclipse opposite Uranus 36′ square North Node 06′
Well that’s about as good as it gets in mundane astrology, especially those repeating patterns. Three times there have been eclipses on the South Lunar Node. Each time followed by a major event: The military loss and retreat from the mainland, the Second Strait Crisis when nuclear attack was threatened, and yet again, for the first free elections with all the threats and missiles.
Uranus square the Nodes appears to have been active in all three events listed above. Can it be a coincidence that Taiwan’s Uranus [28cp14] is conjunct the US Sibly Pluto [27cp32]? Not only was this position activated in the three instances listed above, but is also active now with transiting Pluto over this conjunction.
This transit gives an intense need for freedom (Uranus) but also subjects you to powerful controlling forces. (Pluto). With Taiwan's progressed Sun [29ar] just separating from a conjunction to the North Node [27ar] and square Uranus[28cp] we can see how both the progression and transit are working together to creating the current crisis. To complete the picture, Pelosi’s converse solar arc South Node [28cp] is conjunct Taiwan’s Uranus and therefore makes her the major protagonist in the evolving drama. And for readers who are into Draconic Astrology charts, Pelosi’s draconic Uranus [28li] opposite draconic Moon [27ar] aligns with Taiwan’s tropical nodal axis. In a previoius post [2] on Pelosi’s Taiwan visit we saw that her tropical chart has her Moon-Uranus opposition aligned with the meridian and receiving the disruptive Mars-Uranus-Node triple conjunction.
