The biggest news in Russia over this past weekend, was the assassination of Darya (Dasha) Dugina...On the evening of Saturday, 20 August, in the vicinity of a town called Bolshie Vyazemy, which is a suburb of Moscow, a Toyota Land Cruiser was driving along, minding its own business. Suddenly it blew up. A bomb had been attached to the underside of the carriage, on the driver’s side. There was a single occupant, the driver behind the wheel: 29-year-old Darya Dugina. When the bomb exploded, the car caught fire, and Darya was killed instantly, it is believed. Or at least, one can hope for her sake that it was quick.

The phases of the Moon are among the most reliable indicators of events on earth. A New Moon or Full Moon can act as a local “step down transformer” for powerful energies generated by far away stars and planets that it aspects. To understand how their energies are focused at any place of interest astrologers routinely draw charts of monthly lunations. Here is the chart for the 12th August Full Moon drawn for Moscow. Notice that the Full Moon (a Moon Wobble) is part of a Grand Cross that aligns significantly with the horizon at Moscow. Activating a Mars-Uranus-Saturn square, the Full Moon is extremely dangerous potentially containing energy that can lead to accidents, murders etc. Opposite Uranus is the TNP Poseidon linked to “ideological or moral stances; spread of ideas” including the “media”.
Darya Dugina (b.15 December 1992 – 20 August 2022) was a Russian journalist and political activist. Here is her noon chart. She was born just after a lunar eclipse of Dec.10th 1992. Her radix Sun [23sa] in Sagittarius - the sign connected with philosophers aptly describes her father Aleksandr Dugin who is considered by many to be Russia's Eurasianist philosopher. More specifically her radix Sun [23sa] is conjunct the star Ras Alhague [22sa].
Alpha (α) Ophiuchus, Ras Alhague, is a sapphire star on the head of the Snake Handler. Close by is Lesath [24sa12] in the sting of the Scorpion. Ophiuchus was the ancient healer so that it gives rise to those who are inveterate “fixers”, renewing, repairing, refurbishing people, relationships, society, governments and institutions. They are willing to go head-to-head with the “powers-that-be” over social injustices. If their inner drive is not controlled it can lead to self-destruction. The presence of Scorpion’s sting close by is a reminder of this possibility [1].
Dugina’s major current direction is “solar arc Pluto conjunct radix Sun”. About this combination, Robert Hand writes [2]:
Pluto is the planet of death and regeneration, which means the elimination of whatever is old and outworn and the birth of a new, higher order. With Pluto on your Sun, you can be the agent of this process. If you handle the energies of this transit Pluto skillfully, you should be able to go far with it, but you should be aware of certain pitfalls. You may experience violence at the hands of others who desperately try to stop you. Similarly, if you use this energy to remove structures that are not yet ready to pass away, you will be unable to make progress.

PS: A progressed solar arc Pluto conjunct radix Sun can last for a couple of years. Most often a trigger in the form of a transiting planet can activate the combination. On August 20, the date of the assassination transit Mercury [23vi] formed a sharp square aspect to Dugina’s Sun [23sa]. A chart drawn for the reported time of the explosion/death has Darya’s Sun [23sa] on the MC forming a T-square with the Mercury-Neptune opposition!
