Pluto and the Turkey coalmine explosion

At least 40 workers were killed and dozens injured in an explosion at a coal mine in northwestern Turkey on Friday, officials said. Scores of workers were still stranded underground in two locations, 300 and 350 metres below sea level, as of Friday evening. The accident occurred at 6 pm local time (5 pm CEST) in the town of Amasra in the Black Sea province of Bartin. https://bit.ly/3CAFgar

Many events can be explained by what astrologers call the station point. This term refers to the period when a planet slows down and stands relatively still before changing directions, and either starts going backward ("retrograde") or forward ("direct"). The direct motion of a planet does not always signal the release of its power on the day itself, but this usually happens within a few weeks after its station often waiting until the Sun makes a square to the planet - squares being aspects of external manifestation.

Pluto stationed direct on Oct.9 but it is only now that the Sun is beginning a square to Pluto. In Greek and Roman mythology Pluto or Hades was the lord of the underworld so that mine related disasters come under its domain. The current lunar return chart for Turkey [1] has the Sun-Pluto square straddling the meridian so it is easy to understand why the explosion at the coal mine took place in Turkey. Adding its own chaotic energy, the Saturn-Uranus square (related to accidents) also aligns with the horizon.

Next take a look at the chart for the time of the tragic accident. With the same aspects aligning with the angles as in the lunar return chart, we have confirmation of the energies at play.

Pluto wants deep experience, of the transformational kind. Things that are not working for us, whether they are thought processes or lifestyles, undergo a transformation. Pluto transits bring about rebirths of sorts in the areas of life affected. Pluto transits are about letting go of things that are holding us back from deep and meaningful experiences.

Fear—sometimes intense fear—can reveal itself at a challenging Pluto transit. We confront our “dark” side—those parts of us that are raw, primal, and instinctive. Resisting this process can cause “accidents” because Pluto’s energy has to go somewhere, so we end up meeting Pluto in our lives in the guise of events and people.
