Germany’s decision to revert to nuclear power comes as the Sun begins a square to Pluto. Pluto has always had a bad press. Its association with nuclear energy has long been known to astrologers [1]. But more generally we associate it with the demonic, evil and darkness. As Chancellor Olaf Scholz announced the decision, the Last Quarter Moon was completing a T-square with Pluto that aligned with the meridian at Berlin. A solar transit to Pluto can trigger deeply buried psychological issues involving fears of death or losing control. When we confront our deeply rooted fears and depth darkness we are empowered. We become conscious of the reasons we need to be in control, and can evolve to a higher level and let things go, relax, and feel less threatened.
