Astrology of the Dallas Air Show Accident

Jacob Peter Gowy's The Flight of Icarus (1635–1637)

DALLAS — Two World War II-era airplanes collided in midair at an air show in Dallas on Saturday, the authorities said, turning the commemorative Veterans Day weekend event into a scene of horror. The planes — a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress and a Bell P-63 Kingcobra — crashed at about 1:20 p.m. local time, the Federal Aviation Administration said. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/11/12/us/plane-crash-dallas.html

Eclipses have caused fear, and have been associated with myths, legends, and superstitions throughout history. Even today, an eclipse is considered a bad omen in many cultures. And not without basis as we shall see in this post.

While an eclipse is worldwide in its scope, it effects individual places primarily through planets and stars that it brings to the angles. Among events linked to the stars that conjoin the Oct. 25 solar eclipse [2sc], Diana Rosenberg has “air crashes, disasters due to overconfidence or heedlessness”. At Dallas, the eclipse chart has the TNPs Kronos ( flights/aircrafts) -Hades (old or historical) on the MC. On the IC is the asteroid Icarus [7cp] named after the Greek character [1] who through complacency and hubris fell and died during a flight. Martha Wescott gives the following keywords for asteroid.

ICARUS: Escapes that are careless of consequences; desire to “get outta' here;” the fast break impulse; attraction to speed, danger or risk; desire to get away from restrictions (of aspecting points).

Next we progress the eclipse chart to Nov.12, the date of the accident and find that the progressed MC [29cn] is just past the opposition to Pluto [26cp] and moving to square the eclipse degree [2sc]. Also on the Ascendant [26li] is the TNP Zeus[23li] and the asteroid Requiem [25li]. The TNP Zeus is associated with fires as well as the military while Requiem is death so that in the current context, the combination is hinting at death in a military related incident. Remember that both the aircrafts were world War II vintage.

Finally take a look at the chart for the reported time of the accident [1:20 pm]. Notice the Saturn-Uranus-Sun-Mercury T-square straddling the horizon. Saturn-Uranus hard aspects are related to accidents while Mercury is related to aircrafts.

Placed exactly on the Ascendant [24aq] is the centaur Crantor [24aq] which Benjamin Adamah links to “sudden deaths” [2]
