Russia on Tuesday called on Iran and Saudi Arabia to resolve their differences through dialogue. "We are in contact with both our Saudi and Iranian friends. We stand for resolving all contradictions and misunderstandings at the negotiating table as part of a constructive dialogue," Russian deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov told reporters in Moscow. The recent OPEC decision to cut production confirms the belief that Washington has lost its leverage with the cartel of oil-producing countries. This is being attributed to the deterioration of the US’ relations with Saudi Arabia during the Biden presidency. In order to prevent Iran and Saudi Arabia from coming together, the US has been trying to stir trouble in Tehran through mass demonstrations - trouble that Iran would normally link to the Saudis. However, the Saudis and the Iranians have understood that the US is behind these demonstrations and have wisely refrained from attacking each other.
In this post I attempt to show how the Saudi-Iran Davison Relationship Chart (DRC) can be used to understand the challenge that the two countries jointly face.
The Ascendant in a composite chart indicates how others view the relationship. Here we have a Zeus-Kronos square that straddles the horizon. In the current context this means that the world recognizes that differences of opinion (Kronos) in this partnership has the potential of leading to a war (Zeus). The presence of the asteroid Hopi [17sc] opposite Kronos [17ta] and square Zeus [16le] gives us the reason behind the potential war.

Race and prejudice can inflame passions and stir angry emotions. Volatility and excitement will exist in connection with minorities and prejudice. (Remember that Iran is the minority Shia in Islam while Saudi Arabia is the majority Sunni and traditionally they hate each other.)
The Nov. 8th total lunar eclipse [16ta] fell right on top of Kronos [17ta] activating the T square. The eclipse Moon is in tight conjunction to Uranus (rebellion and change), but in the sign Taurus which craves security and stability. The emancipatory presence of Uranus is extreme within the eclipse. It can shake us free from where we have been stuck.
With the South Node in Scorpio, it will be important to make space for reflection and contemplation of the past patterns and dynamics that have led to present circumstances - mostly prejudice, hate and other such issues that have kept us trapped in the past.
With Saturn now preparing to go over the DRC Ascendant and into the first house, the two countries face the possibility presenting a new image of their partnership to the world.

Distortions of thought, belief and habit purified through open-mindedness
A mind that is conditioned to make judgements about right and wrong creates a prideful ego that limits the soul's evolution. It must become open and then cleansed of bigotry and prejudice.
